Closure members, liquid-seal. - A liquidseal device for use in multiple to isolate a section of gas main comprises a pot A with a depending wall D between the inlet and outlet B, C and reaching nearly to the bottom of the pot. The pot is provided with a detachable cover H packed at G and secured by bolts J. A pipe K is secured to the cover by nuts L and depends nearly to the bottom of the pot on one side of the wall for supplying and removing the sealing water. The outer end of the pipe is normally closed by a screwed cap M. The pot may be formed with an integral top provided with hand holes on each side of the depending wall, each provided with its own cover.
