Abstract
325,642. Hill, H. Dec. 29, 1928. Float valves.-A drinking-trough A is provided with a float F carrying a seating Q adapted to be engaged by a valve N carried by the bottom of the trough. A lip B is fitted round the edge of the trough so that an animal in drinking presses on the middle of the float and permits water to flow from the supply pipe S past a non-return valve J, through the member N into the trough. As the trough fills, the float rises until the seating Q is pressed against the member N, thus cutting off the supply.
