Abstract

Drinking-appliances for animals.-Water is supplied from a tank A having a removable cover A<1>, to a pivoted trough C through an outlet G having a valve controlled by the tilting of the trough. The trough is removably supported in brackets F and carries a rod 0 which lifts the weight L and opens the valve M, which closes when the trough is removed. When water flows into the trough its weight causes the trough to turn on the pivot E, which is not central, and lifts the weight L closing the valve K and so cutting off the supply of water until a certain quantity has been taken from the trough.
