Abstract
1,098,995. Livestock drinking appliances. H. LOHMANN [trading as -LOHMANN APPARATEBAU KOMM.-GES.]. May 19, 1965 [Nov. 7, 1964], No. 21125/65. Heading A1M. [Also in Division F2] The supply of drinking water for domestic animals e.g. poultry, is controlled by a pair of closure members 5, 10, the stems 8, 9 of which abut. The valve outlet nozzle 14 opens directly to an annular container. A lever 1 is pivoted to the valve body and its shorter arm contacts the closure 5 whilst the longer arm is loaded by an adjustable spring 2 and has a number of notches 20 from any one of which the container is suspended, depending upon the required responsiveness of the valve. When the container is full the closure 5 is seated and remains so until the container has been emptied of the desired amount of water. Upon removing the container the lever abuts a stop 13 so opening the closure 5 and seating closure 10.
