931,432. Drinking appliances for poultry. MAYWICK APPLIANCES Ltd. Jan. 29, 1962 [Feb. 6, 1961], No. 4456/61. Class 5(2). The supply of water to a drinking trough 1 is controlled by a float 4 of expanded polystyrene having a centre plate 5 which, as the water level in the trough rises, closes a needle valve or jumper valve 6 controlling the outlet of the water supply tube 8. The valve 6 is mounted on an adjustable support member 7 and the float 4 is housed in a float chamber 2 integral with the trough and communicating therewith through apertures 3. A conical cover may be provided for the float chamber.
