873,977. Drinking troughs. VANDEKHOVEN, J. L. J. March 21, 1960 [March 23, 1959], No. 9839/60. Class 5(2). In a drinking trough, a tiltable element 2 is carried by compressible resilient mounting means 15 whereby it is urged into engagement with, and exerts a continuous and controllable pressure upon an inlet valve 5 which is thereby maintained normally closed against the pressure of the supply liquid, opening of the valve being effected by tilting the element 2 against the reaction of the mounting means 15. As shown in Fig. 3 the element 2 is fixed to a metal shell 21 which is bonded to a shaft 22 by a resilient sleeve 23, the shaft being resiliently mounted on the trough 1 by means of bushes 24a.
