Abstract
307,109. Bailey (Birmingham), Ltd., W., and Bailey, H. A. Dec. 3, 1927. Ball and float valves.-In a cistern supply valve, the slidable valve member 7 controlling the inlet port 10 is formed on either side of the recess 6 accommodating the end of the float lever, with integral annular ribs 14 having a close sliding fit within the casing 1 to reduce leakage of fluid and rocking of the valve member. The casing end is closed by a screw cap 1<a>. A rubber or leather &c. seating washer 11 is secured on the end of the valve member by a screwed cap 12 with a flange 13 the corners of which are rounded as shown.
