Abstract

1944. Hale, S. H. Feb. 6. Combinations of interdependent valves; plug cocks.-In a device for mixing gas and air, the actuation of a plug cock 9 controlling the gas supply causes longitudinal movement of an airsupply regulating-sleeve 13 and a needle valve 18 in the gas outlet. The cock is connected by a pin 16 and rod 17 to the needle valve 18, which does not leave its seat until after the cock is opened. A spring is arranged between the bottom 12 of the cock casing and the head of a pin 11 removable from the plug.
