Abstract

188,636. Monier, F. Nov. 5, 1921, [Convention date]. Spray carburettors.-Fuel is supplied to a spray carburettor by the difference in suction in the fuel delivery pipe 5 and in a pipe 13. The pipe 5 is connected to the induction pipe 6 through an annular passage 8<1> having a nozzle communicating with the air inlet pipe 8 which opens into one of several Venturi tubes 9 and diffusers 10. A hand-operated valve 14 controls the orifice of the pipe 5. The pipe 13 is connected to the air pipe 12 through an annular passage 12<1>. The handactuated throttle valve 7 controls the main air supply. The suction in the float chamber may be utilized to raise fuel from a low-level tank.
