Abstract

338,288. Ehrich & Graetz Akt.-Ges. Oct. 12, 1928, [Conventiondate]. Spray carburettors. -A main nozzle a projects into a mixing tube b which is open to the atmosphere through bores c and extends into the mixture stream which flows to the engine through the outlet f. The tube b is closed at the top. and is provided with outlet orifices e which lie in the direction of flow of the mixture stream. The throttle piston g, which comprises a mixture-control and an air-control portion, embraces the tube as a dome when in its lowered positions, whereby a high vacuum on the main nozzle is produced. For starting and slow running, mixture is supplied through a duct m by a nozzle h arranged transversely to an air inlet k controlled by a screwed needle valve.
