Abstract

226,874. Adams, A. J. Sept. 27,1923. Spray carburettors.-A suction-actuated piston n, o carrying a choke tube n<1> provided with an extension o<1>, controls aerated fuel from the nozzle d and secondary air supplied through an annular passage x, in such a manner that the rate of increase in the amount of secondary air supplied is greater than that of the aerated fuel. The nozzle d is supplied with fuel through a tube a, and has an air inlet at its base e, the aerated fuel passing through divergent outlets f below the tapering end portion g. The secondary air enters the annular passage x through coacting ports q, r in the upper part k of the casing, and in the upper part o of the piston respectively. An outer casing h is provided.
