Abstract
152,647. Pifre, E. Oct. 13, 1919, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Spray carburettors.-The control valve is placed on the air inlet side of the nozzle and the mixing chamber may be placed in communication through the nozzle and by a valve actuated from the air valve, with either the top of the float chamber, the atmosphere or with both. The nozzle d is fed by a sprayer e between which and the lower end of the nozzle is an air passage which leads by a conduit f to a valve g connected by a lever g<1> and link g<2> to the air valve c actuated by a rod c<2>. The valve g controls a passage h leading to atmosphere and a passage i also leading to atmosphere past an adjustable needle valve n and to the top of the float chamber j through passages k, l. When running light, the valve c and the passage h are closed. For running with load, the passage h is uncovered and the passage i wholly or partly closed. In a modification, the passage h has a constricted orifice and the passage i is uncontrolled above the valve g. The sprayer may be located in the Venturi passage.
