Abstract
359,114. Spray carburetters. BOSCH AKT.-GES., R., 4, Militõrstrasse, Stuttgart, Germany. Aug. 23, 1930, No. 25220. Convention date, Sept. 2, 1929. Addition to 254,162, [Class 7 (iii), Internal-combustion engines, Carburetting-apparatus &c. for]. [Class 7 (iii).] The parent Specification describes a carburetter having an air throttle h, an airtight float-chamber e, a connection d from the latter to the throat of a main choke tube b, and one or more auxiliary choke tubes c in one of which the main fuel nozzle f is situated. According to the invention, an additional throttle k is provided, and connected by a link i to the air throttle so as to be closed when the throttle h is closed, thereby preventing the production of an excessive vacuum in the choketube b and float chamber air space. Fuel for slowrunning is supplied through a tube n which passes through a slot m in the throttle valve k. The nozzle f and tube n are provided with constrictions g, o respectively.
