Abstract
161,541. Meyer, H. April 7, 1920, [Convention date]. Spray carburettors.-Consists in the addition to a carburettor having a slow running nozzle of a well to which fuel can be admitted in sufficient quantity to permit of starting and running until the cylinder walls are sufficiently heated. Near the float chamber a and fed therefrom through a conduit c is a well b from which fuel may flow through a sprayer i, passage g and the conduit h of the slow running sprayer, to the induction pipe. The flow of fuel into the well is controlled by a valve d which is normally closed by a spring e and is adapted to be raised either from a distance or directly by the knob j to allow the requisite amount of fuel to enter.
