Abstract

191,496. Brown, C. F. M. Abbott-. Oct. 17, 1921. Spray carburettors; vaporizers, exteraaal.-A mixture of heated air and steam is admitted to the mixture chamber of a carburettor or to the induction pipe l, as shown, from the air and steam space of a radiator b, the overflow pipe e being at a lower level than usual. Air is admitted through a depending pipe c mounted in or near the cap a. The pipe c may have a rose d as shown. The supply of air and steam is contiolled by a valve p which may be operated by a lever s, or connected to the throttle or accelerator pedal or the fuel control means. A trap g for water may be provided and the mixture of air and steam may pass through a jacket k surrounding the induction pipe.
