Air-pressure sprayers. - An atomizer of the kind in which air or gas supplied through a central nozzle 1 atomizes liquid fed to an annular chamber 2 is provided with a thin diaphragm having an aperture 3 mounted in front of the nozzle between the chamber 2 and one or more mixing chambers 4 provided with one or more openings 5 opposite the nozzle. The nozzle body 6 is provided with connections 7 and 8 for the atomizing gas and liquid respectively and is formed with a chamber at its forward end within which is mounted an air nozzle 1 and a perforated diaphragm 3. A chamber 4 is retained on the body by means of a sleeve 17. Helical grooves 19, 20 may be cut in the nozzle and chamber 2 respectively. The atomizer may be mounted in the indication pipe of a group of cylinders of an internal combustion engine between the throttle and inlet valves.
