Abstract

201,634. Thrutchley, W. F. May 3, 1922. Air and gas pressure sprayers. - A spraying- nozzle 3 for use, for example, in supplying liquid fuel to internal-combuslion engines by means of carburators or by direct injection into the cylinder comprises two or more intersecting inclined fluid passages 7 and an axial passage 8, which joins the passages 7 at their point of intersection. The nozzle may comprise a hollow plug secured in a seating 4 and with a part of reduced diameter to form an annular chamber 6, the axial passage having a reduced part 8<a>. Air may enter through the passage 8 and liquid through the passages 7 or vice versa. The inner end of the nozzle may be conical and may open into the choke tube of the carburettor.
