Abstract
143,491. Bouillon, J. A. May 21, 1919. [Convention date]. Spray carburettors.-The carburettor comprises a casing a, b traversed by a pipe c, l, m, x leading to the induction pipe and provided, with a main nozzle i surrounded by a perforated casing p into which opens the inlet o of a slow-running passage n, r, s communicating with the outlet pipe x above the throttle valve u. The outlet of the pipe r is controlled by a screw t. The pipe c is provided with an air-inlet valve k connected to the throttle valve u and with air inlets j for slow running. Secondary air may be admitted to the mixture through a suction-actuated valve y and holes m<1> in the tube m. Fuel is supplied to the float chamber b through an inlet g and a needle valve f controlled by the float d, and passes to the nozzle i through passages h, h<1>. A gauze mixing-screen v is provided. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) the valve y may be fitted on the pipe x, air inlets being provided in the casing a. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
