Claims (19)
1. Förfarande för framställning av en vattenemulsion eller -dispersion av ett delvis.vattenlösligt, organiskt material och eventuellt vidare omvandling av den framställda dispersionen eller emulsionen tili en polymerdispersion da det delvis vattenlösliga, organiska materialet är en polymer iserbar nqnaner, kännetecknat av att i ett första steg framställes en dispersion av polymerpartiklar, som innehäller ett eller flere mycket knappt i vatten lösliga organiska äinnen, för vilka används benämningen ämne I, vars -2 -4 vattenlöslighet är < 10 , normalt < 10 och företrädesvis < 10 ^ g/1 ί^Ο och vars molekylvikt är < 5000, varefter i ett andra steg tillföres ett delvis i vatten lösligt organiskt ämne, vars vattenlöslighet är ätminstone 10 ganger större än hos ämnet I och för vilket används benämningen ämne II, vilket ämne II diffun-deras in i de ämnet I innehällande partiklarna i förhällanden, som förhindrar eller försvärar transport av ämnet I genom vatten-fasen, varefter eventuellt utföres en polymerisation, om ämnet II är en polymeriserbar monomer.
2. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 1, kännetecknat av att den i det första steget framställda dispersionen av polymerpartiklar innehäller ämnet I i en mängd, som normalt är 0,5-10, i synnerhet 1-4, ganger mängden av polymer i partiklarna, beräknat enligt volymen.
3. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 1 eller 2, kännetecknat av att i det första steget tillföres nägot ämne I, vars molekylvikt är < 5000 och företrädesvis < 500, i polymerpartik-larnas vattendispersion, i förhällanden, som leder tili en kraftig ökning av transporthastigheten för ämnet I genom vattenfasen in i partiklarna, vilka härvld sväller av ämnet vid omröring, vilka polymerpartiklar är framställda pä i och för sig känt sätt, varefter i ett andra steg tillföres ämne II efter det, att för-hällandena ändrats sä, att ämnets I transport genom vattenfasen är förhindrad, varvid ämne II vid omröring diffunderas in i polymerpartiklarna, som svällt av ämnet I. 30 68408

6. Förfarande enligt patentkraven 3 och 4, kännetecknat av att det första steget utföres i närvaro av ett lösnings-medel, som är helt eller delvis vattenlösligt och är ett lösnings-medel för ämne I.
7. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 6, kännetecknat av att säsom lösningsmedel användes aceton eller nägon annan lägre alkanol.
8. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 6, kännetecknat av att säsom lösningsmedel användes en relativt vattenlöslig monomer.
9. Förfarande enligt patentkraven 6-8, kännetecknat av att lösningsmedlet användes i en mängd som utgör 1-100 % av den i det första steget använda vattenmängden, enligt volymen.
10. Förfarande enligt patentkraven 6, 7 och 9, kännetecknat av att lösningsmedlet avlägsnas efter det första steget, exempelvis genom avdunstning.
11. 15. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 12, kännetecknat av att säsom ämne I användes en initiator i vätskeform, som utöver det, att den fungerar som ämne I, även fungerar som initiator vid polymerisationen av den i det andra steget tillförda monomeren.
16. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 13, kännetecknat av att det som initiator i vätskeform användes dioktanoylperoxid.
17. Förfarande enligt patentkraven 1 och 2, kännetecknat av att dispersionen i det första steget framställes genom homogenisering av en blandning, som innehäller nägon monomer, ämne I och eventuellt nägon oljelöslig initiator, tillsammans med vatten och emulgatorämnet, sä att man erhäller en emulsion av denna blandning, att det därefter eventuellt tillföres en helt eller delvis vattenlöslig initiator och att polymerisationen utföres sä, att man erhäller en dispersion av polymer-partiklar som innehäller 5-90 volym-% av ämnet I, varefter det andra steget utföres pä dispersionen enligt patentkravet 1.
18. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 17, kännetecknat av att det som ämne II, som tillföres i det andra steget, användes nägon vinylmonomer, som polymeriseras efter att den diffunderat in i de i det första steget framställda partiklarna.
