Abstract

Sistema perfeccionado para proteger a los ocupantes de un vehículo de motor contra daños en colisiones laterales, que comprende unos primeros miembros de refuerzo dispuestos entre los paneles exteriores e interiores del lado de carrocería y/o de las puertas del coche, y segundos miembros de refuerzo, incorporados en los asientos del coche, y que se extienden transversalmente al vehículo y están dispuestos para transmitir la carga, tras una cierta deformación del lado de carrocería o puerta cargado por comprensión, al suelo del vehículo y al lado de carrocería o puerta opuesto, caracterizado porque los primeros miembros de refuerzo están hechos como miembros absorbedores de energía deformables esencialmente de modo plástico que se extienden transversalmente por al menos la mayor parte del espacio entre los paneles exteriores e interiores de los lados de carrocería y/o de las puertas y que cubren verticalmente una zona al nivel de los parachoques del vehículo, y porque los segundos miembros de refuerzo comprenden miembros que absorben cargas de compresión, son incorporados en el nivel de soporte de cojines de asiento con los primeros miembros de refuerzo y tienen superficies extremas exteriores colocadas adyacentemente, o a una distancia insignificante, de los paneles interiores de los lados de carrocería y/o de las puertas.
