Abstract
Procedimiento para impedir la colisión de un vehículo con un obstáculo situado por delante del mismo, preferentemente con otro vehículo, que conduce delante del primero; en este caso, son detectadas la distancia entre el vehículo y el obstáculo, la diferencia entre las velocidades del vehículo y del obstáculo, la cual es denominada velocidad relativa, así como la velocidad y la aceleración/deceleración del vehículo y, en función de estas diferencias, se produce una indicación sobre la colisión y/o una maniobra de frenado; procedimiento éste que está caracterizado porque son registrados la actividad del conductor, el estado de la carretera, el estado de carga del vehículo así como el grado de coincidencia entre el vehículo y su obstáculo; de estos datos es calculado una primera distancia entre el vehículo y el obstáculo, la cual es, como mínimo, necesaria para evitar por medio de una maniobra de frenado con la máxima deceleración - una colisión del vehículo con el obstáculo; caracterizado porque es calculada una segunda distancia que, como mínimo, es necesaria para evitar - mediante un desvío del vehículo por el obstáculo - una colisión del vehículo con el obstáculo; así como caracterizado porque una maniobra de frenado automática tan sólo es iniciada al ser la detectada distancia más pequeña. Tanto que la primera distancia calculada como que la segunda distancia calculada, y al sobrepasar el grado de coincidencia un determinado valor de umbral.
