Claims (5)

  1. Procédé pour trier des envois à l'aide de machines à trier ayant des points terminaux de tri qui se composent de casiers de tri (14) ou de récipients (16) interchangeables, en plusieurs étapes de tri, la surface des envois portant l'adresse de distribution étant soumise à une prise de vue lors de chaque première étape de tri et cette adresse étant lue,
       caractérisé en ce que
    lors de la première étape de tri on établit pour chaque envoi de plus des caractéristiques d'envoi spécifiques et/ou des caractéristiques de l'adresse, en tant qu'ensemble de caractéristiques pour distinguer au moins n envois, n = taux maximal d'extractions multiples prévisibles,
    lorsqu'on atteint un niveau de remplissage déterminé, dans chaque point terminal de tri le récipient (16) est changé ou le casier de tri (14) est vidé et les envois vidés sont stockés temporairement dans des récipients (16) en conservant leur succession, les récipients (16) étant caractérisés par au moins le numéro de point terminal de tri,
    pour chaque envoi, la succession lors de la lecture de l'adresse de distribution, le numéro de point terminal de tri associé et/ou le numéro du récipient (16) où l'envoi est entreposé dans cette étape de tri, le code de distribution établi à partir de l'adresse lue et l'ensemble spécifique de caractéristiques sont enregistrés dans une banque de données,
    dans la deuxième étape de tri et dans chacune des suivantes, les envois provenant de chaque récipient (16) de l'étape de tri à chaque fois précédente sont introduits selon la succession de leur stockage dans le récipient (16) dans cette machine à trier ou dans une autre, les numéros de point terminal ou de récipient correspondants sont communiqués à la machine à trier et donc le segment concerné de banque de données pour le récipient (16) en question est déterminé ; dans chaque segment de banque de données les données sont alors ordonnées selon la succession lors de la lecture de l'adresse de distribution, on détermine l'ensemble spécifique de caractéristiques de chaque envoi grâce auquel le code de distribution concerné est ensuite établi en ce que l'ensemble de caractéristiques spécifique du premier envoi est comparé avec n ensembles spécifiques de caractéristiques mémorisés successivement dans ce segment de banque de données en commençant par l'ensemble de caractéristiques du premier envoi, et, en cas de correspondance dont l'étendue est déterminée, le code de distribution enregistré correspondant est associé au premier envoi par le fait que l'ensemble spécifique de caractéristiques du deuxième envoi est comparé avec n ensembles spécifiques de caractéristiques mémorisés successivement dans ce segment de banque de données en commençant par l'ensemble de caractéristiques du deuxième envoi, et, en cas de correspondance, le code de distribution enregistré pour cet ensemble de caractéristiques est associé au deuxième envoi et ce processus est exécuté jusqu'à ce que les ensembles de caractéristiques de tous les envois amenés aient été comparés aux ensembles de caractéristiques correspondants enregistrés.
  2. Procédé selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que, dans le cas d'une succession non caractérisée des récipients (16) qui font partie d'un point terminal de tri, pour reconnaítre le passage d'un récipient (16) à l'autre, chacun des derniers envois qui se trouve avant ou chacun des premiers envois qui se trouve après chaque vidage de point terminal de tri est de plus caractérisé dans la banque de données (10) et l'ensemble de caractéristiques du premier envoi de chaque récipient (16) d'un point terminal de tri respectivement est comparé avec les n premiers ensembles de caractéristiques des segments de banque de données associés à ce point terminal de tri et non encore traités dans cette étape de tri jusqu'à ce qu'une correspondance soit établie et donc que le segment de banque de données soit associé aux envois de ce récipient (16).
  3. Procédé selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisé en ce que les contenus des segments de banque de données sont enregistrés dans des mémoires dans lesquelles on peut lire et écrire, qui sont appliquées sur les récipients (16) concernés, qui sont lues avant d'introduire les envois dans les machines à trier pour les deuxièmes étapes de tri et les suivantes et qui sont introduites dans les commandes de ces machines à trier.
  4. Procédé selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisé en ce que les contenus concernés de banque de données sont transférés électroniquement aux machines à trier qui exécutent les deuxièmes étapes de tri et les suivantes.
