Definitions
- the present invention relates to a watercraft, such as. B. a passenger ship, a ferry, a dangerous cargo ship or the like., With a deck and with a buoyancy space in the Deck, the buoyancy chamber in a first operating state Contains air.
- Such watercraft are from the general state of the Technology known i.a. from FR-A-2 476 588. They are ships and preferably for larger ships, with at least one deck and at least a buoyancy room in the deck. In normal operation, a first Operating condition, such ships are the buoyancy rooms calculated according to a necessary buoyancy volume been filled with ambient air. The buoyancy rooms must not be limited to their buoyancy function, but usually have very diverse functions. As a buoyancy space can be any cavity defined on the ship serve, be it a cabin, a bunker, a load or a Kind of chamber. Buoyancy rooms with other functions contain, in addition to the ambient air, also features that serve to perform these other functions.
- a second operating condition such as it occurs, for example, when touched underwater, water is in danger of leakage. If this is the Case, the penetrating water displaces into the corresponding Buoyancy rooms the ambient air. There are losses of lift, until the ship's complete demise being able to lead.
- the object of the present invention is therefore a watercraft to create the genus mentioned in which when loss of lift occurs, the lift immediately is stabilizable.
- the object is achieved in that the buoyancy space in one second operating state filled with a foam which is a high cell volume with closed cells and has a dimensionally stable physical state.
- buoyancy space is used in the following and in the claims used in the sense that the spaces of a Watercraft are meant in a second operating state serve as a stable buoyancy space.
- cell volume is used in the following and in the claims used in the sense that it is a great Aerial absorption either through a large number of small cells or by very few large cells.
- buoyancy rooms By filling one or more buoyancy rooms with one dimensionally stable foam with high cell volume when in in an emergency situation, the ingress of water into buoyancy rooms threatens, the corresponding buoyancy areas not be flooded by water and keep due to the the buoyancy volume retained by the foam Buoyancy function of the respective buoyancy space at.
- buoyancy rooms are multifunctional rooms, such as B. a cabin, is also ensures that the objects in the room through the Foam enclosed and thus from damage or loss are protected.
- the buoyancy space a dispenser which is used during a transition from the first operating state to the second operating state releases the foam in an unstable physical state.
- Another advantage according to claim 3 is that a Control device is provided which is the dispensing device controls. Control of the dispenser of each buoyancy room leads to the possibility of very targeted dispensing facilities for dispensing foam per se and for Delivery of a metered amount of foam in particular. This can cause buoyancy in different places of a ship are stabilized.
- control device depending on the detection of a loss of buoyancy can be triggered manually.
- This also allows passenger cabins set as a buoyancy space in a second operating state become.
- the manual release enables the passenger cabin to inspect before triggering and ensure that there are no more people in the cabin.
- Another advantage according to claim 5 is that the Control device depending on the deck with the buoyancy space from the locality of the loss of buoyancy. Thereby the buoyancy can be specific to the deck and loss-dependent be stabilized.
- Another advantage according to claim 6 is that the Control device depending on the buoyancy space on the deck from the locality of the loss of buoyancy. Thereby the buoyancy can also be specific to the room and stabilized depending on the loss.
- each buoyancy space is selected from a group consisting of available Cabins, common rooms, bunkers, foredeck chambers, Aft ship chambers, loads, as well as forepeak and rowing machine.
- the use of all functional rooms as buoyancy rooms enables optimal buoyancy protection in an emergency.
- the foam Is plastic foam that contains a foam stabilizer.
- Numerous plastic foams are from the prior art known that the required due to the foam stabilizers Features, high cell volume, compressive strength and dimensional stability have so that a suitable selection easily falls.
- FIG. 1 schematically shows a passenger ship as the watercraft 1 shown.
- the passenger ship is said to be in the present Exemplary embodiment approx. 4000 NRT (net register tons) and 6000 GRT (gross register tons).
- the buoyancy volume from buoyancy rooms of the fore and aft ship add up to at least 1000t. This results in a total buoyancy volume of approx. 5000t, i.e. a reserve buoyancy of at least 900t.
- a number of upper decks 7 are provided above decks 3.
- the watercraft 1 is in normal operation in FIG. 1 without an emergency.
- the water line is labeled 9 and lies on a lower region of a fuselage 11.
- the watercraft 1 is in the rescue position, d. H. in an emergency.
- the water line 9 lies in an upper one Area of the fuselage 11.
- buoyancy spaces 5 of the Passenger decks especially the outer buoyancy areas, with a foam (shown here in black color) 13 are filled out. But there are also more Buoyancy spaces in the foredeck 15 as well as aft ship 17 with Foam filled.
- buoyancy spaces 5 are shown inside the ship. Theoretically, all buoyancy spaces 5 can be shown in the Emergency can be filled with a foam. In practice but some buoyancy spaces 5 are selected for this purpose become. 4, these buoyancy spaces 5 are shown.
- the passenger ship used as an exemplary embodiment serve the outer cabins of all (passenger) decks 3, the bow 15 and, also shown here, the rowing machine in the aft ship 17 each as a buoyancy space 5.
- the upper decks 7 serve as escape decks.
- a control device 19 is shown schematically in FIG. 5.
- the control device 19 controls a delivery device 21, in each of the buoyancy rooms selected for emergency 5 is arranged.
- the dispenser 21 is preferably a ceiling in the respective buoyancy space 5 assembled tank in which the foam in one form-unstable, i.e. liquid or gaseous, physical state is in stock. Due to the ceiling mounting, a cheap, uniform filling of the buoyancy area ensured.
- an emergency switch 23 is arranged, which has a Line 25 with a gas pressure generator 27, such as. B. one Pressure conditioner, is connected.
- the gas pressure generator 27 is via a line system 29, 30 with a valve device 31, e.g. B. a solenoid valve with each dispenser 21 operatively connected in each buoyancy space 5.
- the valve device 31 is also via a further line 33 operatively connected to a safety switch 35.
- the emergency switch 23 actuated.
- the gas pressure generator 27 generates a gas pressure in the pipe system 29, 30. If the selected Buoyancy rooms are 5 person cabins or rooms in which the buoyancy rooms 5 inspected by the staff. Provides the staff determines that a buoyancy chamber 5 is empty, the safety switch 35 actuated, whereby the valve device 31 opens and the gas pressure on line 30 into the Output device 21 transmits. This will make it unstable Physical state of the foam from the dispenser 21 expelled and into the buoyancy chamber 5 sprayed or sprayed. The foam solidifies in Ambient air with the properties already mentioned and secures the buoyancy function of the corresponding buoyancy space 5th
- the control device 19 can be designed so that depending of the locality of a loss of buoyancy entirely specific decks 3 and buoyancy rooms 5 via the line system 29, 30 are addressed.
- the foam can be a mineral or organic natural foam or plastic foam with or without a foam stabilizer his.
- Foams are from the prior art generally known with the properties mentioned, so that these are not to be described further here.
- the safety switch 35 closes when actuated Circuit for triggering the valve device and opens at the same time a mains circuit for the corresponding buoyancy space.
