- On the plate cylinder can be used up a flat, illustrated printing plate.
- To the A sleeve-shaped rubber blanket can be attached around the blanket cylinder.
- the Plate cylinders and blanket cylinders are stored in the printing unit.
- An on an axial end of the blanket cylinder adjacent portion of the frame is in the Arranged movably so that it can be opened and in this way one end of the Can release blanket cylinder.
- the removable sleeve-shaped rubber blanket can be moved axially through the opening in the frame. Inside the in this writing described blanket cylinders are also provided air lines through which air the outer surface of the blanket cylinder is guided. From that with compressed air in this way, air flows to the inside of the blanket cylinder Inside of the rubber blanket so that it can be pushed onto the Blanket cylinder is stretched. After pushing the rubber blanket onto the The blanket cylinder can be switched off the compressed air supply. Thereupon contacted the blanket the outer surface of the blanket cylinder and encloses the Blanket cylinder firmly. To remove the rubber blanket, it is again with Compressed air is applied and removed manually.
- a disadvantage of the printing press described in this document is that the The inside surface of the blanket or the outside surface of the blanket cylinder is dirty can be, for example, by printing ink or other substances that are on the The inner surface of the rubber blanket remains undetected. This will remove the Blanket by applying compressed air to the inside of the blanket axial pulling of the rubber blanket difficult. Furthermore, manufacturing-related Defects as well as the environmental conditions such as humidity and temperature Impact the removability of the blanket.
- US 4,913,048 is a printing press with a sleeve-shaped, channelless Printing form or printing plate described, which can be provided with a print image.
- This sleeve-shaped printing form is axially removable from the plate cylinder and can by Elongation of the printing form by printing a printing medium on the plate cylinder be applied. The sleeve-shaped printing form is then manually placed on the Plate cylinder pushed on and relieved of pressure.
- the same disadvantages occur here as in the printing machine described in US 5,429,048.
