461,782. Removing tubes from shafts. BOUGHAY, H. E., and ARNOLD, A. T. March 18, 1936, No. 8138. [Class 61 (iii)] [Also in Groups XVI and XXII] Apparatus for removing the outer tubular member 3 from a printing-roller, comprises a rod 4, screwed at 5, and provided with collars 13, 14 to support the base 1 of the roller. A ring 11 engages the member 3 and is connected by rods 20 with a disc 9 mounted on a sleeve nut 7 with an interposed thrust bearing 12a. The nut 7 is rotated by a tommy-bar to remove the tube which is supported during removal by a series of fibre rings 18.
