[Class 100 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXIV] The printing-rollers 12 of a fabric printing- machine are mounted in self-aligning roller bearings carried by segmental supports 31, 44 which permit of ready removal of the mandrels 14 upon which the rollers 12 are secured. The supports 31, 44 are mounted upon slides 20, 21 which can be adjusted radially of the impression cylinder 10 by means of screws 22 which transmit pressure to the slides by means of steel plates 26 and rubber blocks 24, outward movement to the slides being effected by a collar 27. The support 44 is carried by a slide 30, and the slides 30, 31 are adjustable tangentially of the cylinder 10 by screws 32, 33 and axially of the mandrel 14 by means of a screw 46 which moves one roller bearing housing 16 directly carrying with it the mandrel 14 and the inner race ring 58 of the left set of roller bearings. The housings 15, 16 are formed with partial spherical surfaces 41, 40 which rest on similar surfaces on the supports 31, 44 so that the bearings are self-aligning. The bearings are each fitted with bearing rollers 53, 68, but the rollers 53 are arranged to give radial support only, whereas the other rollers form part of radial and end thrust bearings. The end thrust is provided by means of a radial rib 60 on the inner raceway member 61 and rollers 62 carried in supporting rings 63. By means of the rib 60 axial adjustment of the member 44 is transmitted to the mandrel 14 and to the race-ring 58. Clamping members 74, 75, 76, 78 secure the bearings to the mandrel 14 upon which the printing-roller 12 is secured in known manner.
