Abstract

963,753. Rollers. MASCHINENFABRIK BENNINGER A.G. July 13, 1961 [July 15, 1960], No. 25434/61. Heading F2U. A roller comprises a rigid shaft 1 extending through an outer cylinder 6 mounted thereon by a plurality of support cylinders 4 extending around the shaft 1 between the shaft land the cylinder 6 and supporting the cylinder 6 against deflection, each of the cylinders 4 being secured at each of its ends to the cylinder 6 and being rotatably mounted on the shaft 1. In one embodiment, Fig. 1, the outer cylinder 6 is supported by rings 5 secured thereto and the cylinders 4 are mounted on the shaft 1 by bearings 2, 3. In a modification, Fig. 3, the cylinders 4 are mounted on further cylinders 9 by the bearings 2, 3 and the cylinders 9 are mounted on the shaft 1 by bearings 10, 11.
