Abstract

PURPOSE:To withdraw a sleeve plate from a roll by pushing the end of the sleeve plate along the aixs of a printing roll while the sleeve plate and the printing roll are heated together to melt a hot melt type adhesive therebetween. CONSTITUTION:When a sleeve plate S comprising a thin film shaped metal multilayer made having a gravure printing cell securely bonded with a hot melt type adhesive on the circumferential surfaces of a printing roll R of a gravure printing cylinder is withdrawn from the roll R, the sleeve plate S and the printing roll R are heated together to melt the hot melt type adhesive imposed therebetween and then, only the end of the sleeve S is pushed along the axis of the printing roll R to be withdrawn from the printing roll R. It is preferable that both of the sleeve plate and the printing roll R are set so vertical that the lower end of the sleeve plate S will be pushed up from below.
