Abstract

PURPOSE:To exactly and strongly join a printing roll and a sleeve plate by using a hot-melt type adhesive as well as permit the separation of the sleeve plate from the printing roll for storage after ending the printing. CONSTITUTION:A sleeve plate 4 is heated by a cylindrical heater 10 in a cylindrical heat-insulator 8, a hot-melt type adhesive is coated on at least a part of at least any one of the outer surface of the printing roll 2 and the inner surface of the sleeve plate 4, and the sleeve plate 4 whose diameter is increased by thermal expansion due to heating is attached to the periphery of the printing roll 2. After wards, the sleeve plate 4 is cooled, whereupon the sleeve plate 4 is shrunk and closely fitted on the periphery of the printing roll 2 and the adhesive is hardened. Thus, the sleeve plate 4 is closely fixed to the printing roll 2.
