Definitions
- the invention relates to a screen wall, which consists of a fabric surface which is tensioned by stiffening bars, and a method for producing such a screen.
- Screen walls of the type described above are usually considered variable partitions (known as “Spanish Wall” or also “Screen”) for various purposes, for example as Privacy or sun protection is used and are one or made in several parts to be able to fold them.
- shower curtains suspended from a pole or shower cubicles with rigid wall parts too use to demarcate the surrounding space from the shower room and to protect against splashing shower water.
- shower curtains have the disadvantage that they only affect the shower room inadequate demarcation and especially through the air circulation be sucked into the shower room.
- Prevent shower cubicles the latter are complex and have to be done with doors provided that are sealed against the shower water.
- a Bathtubs represent a particular problem, which are also used for showers are to be used.
- curtains are here also known folding shower partitions on the bathtub be put on.
- such facilities are also very complex and close at the separation and hinge points mostly not enough, leaving water behind penetrates outside and accumulates outside the bathtub. It is therefore also known about the foldable length of the Hinges connected wall parts a flexible strip, for example made of rubber or plastic.
- the US-PS 5,937,883 is a portable shielding wall known, which consists of several parts and cover against wind, sand or as a screen. Stiffening bars or stakes to set up the screen wall can be inserted into fastening structures, whereby the attachment structures from hook and eye attachments should exist, on the fabric forming the shielding wall are attached.
- Such an attachment structure can also be formed in the form that a The loop is sewn so that a pocket is created in which a stake can be inserted for attachment.
- the so educated Bags require assembly work. Furthermore, they have the disadvantage that these darts when tensioning the part walls have to take the entire train.
- a shielding wall is known from US Pat. No. 4,554,937 which are provided for the individual wall parts, about which the fabric parts of the screen wall are stretched.
- the side by side lying wall parts are by turning and sewing attached to the ends of the fabric on these frame parts.
- the ends become flexible connection of the individual wall parts of the abutting fabric panels so that a hinge is created.
- This type of attachment requires not just complex assembly, but the fabric panels cannot be stripped from these frames; to have to for example to replace damaged panels the seams are separated and removed. New panels must be attached by appropriate assembly. A With this type of screen walls, space-saving packaging is not given.
- the object of the present invention is an inexpensive and versatile screen wall, especially for partitioning of shower rooms, to create the disadvantages shown avoids the prior art.
- the screen wall is not only very easy to manufacture, but also in the hinge areas absolutely tight, so that no shower water can escape to the outside can.
- This flexible connection strip can be used both as Hinge, as well as just covering the hinge gap, when the wall parts are connected by hinges are. Such a design makes it even bigger Stability of the multi-part screen wall achieved.
- the screen wall For sealing against the wall or the tub edge the screen wall has flexible edge strips. Will be in certain Distances in the fabric length and width tubular bags are incorporated, so there is no production the screen walls matched to certain desired ones Sizes.
- the respective size of the screen wall or the individual Wall parts is determined by the required area separated from the fabric along a tube-like pocket becomes what is also done, for example, by cutting can, and in the selected tubular bags Stiffening bars are inserted. Will along these Separation points between the individual screen walls or rows of dividers, cutting is not necessary.
- the so-called fixed edge makes it unnecessary to border or hem of this edge, so that there is also no need for assembly here.
- the edge strips at the end of the screen wall and at the Narrow sides of the partial walls are in this way at Manufacture of the fabric sheet incorporated, so here too no assembly is required.
- the individual wall parts are tensioned by removable diagonal tensioners, so that for the Transport or even sell the screen wall as a roll yourself can be easily transported and requires little storage space.
- the screen wall created in this way consists of a fabric surface that covers the width and / or length has tubular pockets that are incorporated into the fabric surface to accommodate Stiffening bars.
- these consist of a continuous web of fabric across the width and / or length of each wall part at least one tubular bag for stiffening rod having.
- the screen wall consists of wall parts 1 and 2 by a connecting strip 6 to each other are connected.
- clamping pieces 72 arranged to receive the clamping heads 81 of the Diagonal clamps 8 are provided with a recess 82.
- the wall parts 1 and 2 each have two wall parts on their longitudinal sides delimiting tubular pockets 32, into which rods 9 are inserted for stiffening.
- the clamp pieces 72 each clamp the fabric of wall parts 1 and 2 together with the inserted into the tubular pocket 32 Rod 9.
- a hinge 7 each against the clamping pieces 72 of the wall parts 1 and 2 is clamped to to connect these two wall parts 1 and 2 in an articulated manner (Fig. 6).
- the connecting strip 6 serves in this case only for sealing the hinge 7 Gap between the two wall parts 1 and 2.
- the free hinge leg 71 ' serves to the screen wall on the Attach wall 10. If the screen wall as a shower partition serves, an edge strip 3 is provided on this long side, which is applied to the wall 10 and with the leg 71 ' of the hinge is attached to the wall 10. This is one Sealing the screen wall also when connecting to the wall 10 given. Additional edge strips 4 and 5 can now be provided to be when using the screen wall as a shower partition a seal against the tub rim or floor or in the case of the edge strip 5 to another connecting wall guarantee.
- the screen wall could now be produced in such a way that the individual wall parts with their rod pockets 32, the connecting strip 6 and the edge strips 3, 4 and 5 can be cut and made from a fabric. That means that the edge strips are sewn on, the edges edged, the wall parts sewn together and pockets for the Distribution bars to be sewn on.
- This way of making is however expensive.
- Screen wall made from a single piece of fabric. Therefor a web of fabric is first created continuously, and while their manufacture are tubular like width Bags incorporated that needed for the screen wall Limit area. The tubular bags limited area is cut or separated from removed from the fabric. Form the tubular pockets hence the edges of these surfaces. Then in the tubular stiffening bars introduced.
- the defined fabric area of the screen wall is now without further assemblies in the corners with clamping pieces 72, where, as already described above, the fabric of the screen wall together with the distribution rod inserted into the rod pocket 32 9 is clamped in each case.
- a multi-part screen wall also a continuous one Fabric web 100 created in which across the width of each Wall part 1 and 2 at the end of a wall part 1 and Start of the adjoining wall part 2 a hose-like Pocket 32 and between these tubular pockets 32 Connecting strips 6 are incorporated.
- the screen can be at the beginning of the screen the pocket 32 and / or at the end of the screen after the pocket 32 edge strips 3 and 5 are worked on, as above already described, as a seal against a wall 10 or serve another connection.
- a Fabric web 100 produced on a weaving or knitting machine in which the individual screen walls by dividing rows or Separation lanes 14 are separated from each other.
- the one in production of the fabric web 100 is the production edge 11 usually a solid edge, i.e. the binding is on the edge so that it does not fray as the production progresses, if the fabric web by means of clips on this production edge 11 held and guided and excited about the equipment becomes.
- This production edge 11 would also be firm enough to finished product of the screen wall stable against fraying his.
- this production edge 11 so heavily used and burdened that they have none has enough straight course more, it is recommended to provide an edge area 12 with a separating alley 14 opposite the actual fabric surface of the screen wall.
- a separating alley 14 opposite the actual fabric surface of the screen wall.
- these dividing lanes or dividing rows 14 will be passed through all production stages including coating and Equipment the individual piece of goods along these partitions 14 separated from the fabric web 100 in a simple manner.
- the equipment does not provide a sufficiently firm edge is given along this dividing lane 14, can also be provided be that against this edge area 12 in the goods fixed edge by incorporating a reinforcing thread or through a corresponding thread binding during production will be produced.
- edge strips 4 the wall parts 1 and 2 form-fitting in the manufacture of the Work fabric 100.
- the dividing alley 14 is in each case Area of the edge strip 4 in the edge area 12 by the width this edge strip 4 shifted.
- the edge strip can close pockets 32 on the lower side 4 expediently under the pocket 32 each extend. This will position the stiffening bars 9 relieved.
- the separation of the individual goods from fabric 100 can also be done between the individual goods and / or the edge region 12 of the fabric web 100 instead a dividing row 14 is worked in each case in a dividing lane, where a thread is used which is replaced by a corresponding one Aftertreatment dissolved and thus a separation between the individual items or screen walls and the edge area 12 takes place. This eliminates the need to cut along the Separation lanes 14.
- the screen wall is used as a shower partition, it is recommended it is still possible to coat the fabric web after its production, to make the fabric water-repellent or waterproof close. If such a coating is carried out, coating the parting line or parting line 14 mostly glued. It is therefore unnecessary to incorporate Dividing rows or dividing lanes 14. In this case the Separation of the individual goods or screen walls from the Fabric 100 by cutting. When coating is however Please note that the fabric 100 and 110 Do not glue the integrated pockets 32 and / or 33.
- FIGs 7 and 8 Another version of a multi-part screen wall is in Figures 7 and 8 shown.
- the screen wall consists of the three partitions 15, 16 and 17.
- a connecting strip 3 For sealing on the A connecting strip 3 is provided.
- For the Sealing against the tub edge strips 4 are provided.
- the individual wall parts are tensioned, as in the case of the previous screen wall described by diagonal tensioner 8, the recesses 82 with their clamping heads 81 the Engage clamps 72.
- the foldable connection between the individual wall parts do not consist of one Connecting strip 6, as in the embodiment according to FIG. 3, but there is a rod pocket 32 between each Wall parts 15, 16 and 17 are provided, in which a Stiffening rod 9 is arranged.
- the wall parts 15, 16 and 17 consequently each have a common rod pocket 32 and a stiffening rod 9 for its foldable connection.
- FIG. 8 shows the screen of Figure 7 in cross section. This Design has the advantage that fewer parts are required and yet a stable and rigid articulation between the individual wall parts 15, 16 and 17.
- these rod pockets are arranged at regular intervals so that in the grid of these distances the rod pockets 32 accordingly can be selected and thus the size of the screen wall or partial wall is determined. Even at the height of the screen wall any division can be made by the hose-like Pockets in the longitudinal direction of the fabric 110.
- This grid-like arrangement of the tubular pockets 32 and also 33 allows the production of any desired sizes, the gradation by the grid of the distances of the Hose pockets 32 and 33 is determined.
- the customer determines the number of partitions and the resulting number of Stiffening bars 9 and diagonal tensioner 8.
- the fabric is as Cut by the meter from the roll.
- the division into the individual wall parts 15, 16 and 17 are made by Inserting the stiffening rods 9 into the rod pockets 32, whereby the respective area of the wall part is determined.
- the grid of the tubular pockets creates as Side effect is an attractive pattern in the fabric.
- the arrangement of the rod pockets 33 in the longitudinal direction of the Fabric web 110 can also be made with stiffening screen walls reach the narrow sides of the wall parts. So it can also sturdy screen walls are assembled together, on which all four sides the wall parts by stiffening bars 9 are supported and excited.
- the process according to the invention enables the production of Screen wall is not only very simple and inexpensive. It can also be used in various sizes of screen walls and divisions for a wide range of applications produce without getting involved in the manufacture of the fabric to have to commit to a certain screen wall.
