Definitions
- the invention relates to a roof tile in the preamble of Claim 1 specified genus, as he e.g. known from US-A-1 714 800 is.
- each of these Sections takes up about half the brick width and a trough-shaped Depression as well as an adjoining raised one Has longitudinal web.
- This training enables one roofing, in which a lower roof tile layer opposite an upper one offset by half the tile width is, which results in an interrupted course of the joint.
- a roof tile is also already known from US-A-1 714 800, of the three of the above sections each with has an arcuate cross section. Between two sections arched upwards and also on one side edge the roof tile is provided with web-shaped double beads. In a top fold and on the underside of one side edge are double grooves into which the double beads of the engage the covered upper roof tile in a form-fitting manner.
- the length of this known roof tile is much greater than its width, so the three sections accordingly are narrow and a covered roof is visually troubled gives a complex impression. Covering in particular large-scale roofing is with a considerable amount of work connected.
- DE 38 12 901 C1 describes a roof tile compact, the separating ridge on its outer edges on Brick head edge two parallel ridges in the side End areas and a middle also parallel ridge section having. These ridges formed on the top form a kind of three-point support for the roof tile compact in a conventional cassette during transport and during the burning process.
- the made from the compacts Roof tiles are of conventional elongated shape, i.e. have a relatively large length versus width and a relatively broad flat midfield without division into sections.
- the object of the invention is to create a roof tile, which, with larger dimensions, gives the visual impression more conventional Types of bricks conveyed and manufacturing technology Offers advantages.
- the roof tile designed according to the invention has a considerably larger width than known designs with the same or only a slightly increased length.
- This width which has been increased by about a third, has an advantageous effect when laying the bricks and also when transporting them.
- the number of roof tiles per m 2 can be reduced to less than 10, so that the laying work is shortened considerably.
- the larger width also results in a correspondingly reduced total number of costly and susceptible side folds, which has a positive effect, for example, on the tightness and also on other properties of a roof.
- the sections are approximately the same in plan view and the narrow longitudinal joints practically do not appear when there is a lateral third offset, the excess width of this tile is concealed compared to conventional designs and for an observer the impression of a roof with a conventional structure is created.
- the design of the outer surface of the head interlocking as a relatively wide and tilt-proof footprint enables the roof tile blanks to be produced in the extrusion process with subsequent embossing and fired upright. This process is promoted by the extended footprint resulting from the increase in width, while avoiding the difficulties that can arise when burning long upright roof tiles.
- FIGS. 1 to 3 there is the one shown Roof tiles from a total of three sections I, II and III, the are essentially the same and each one trough-shaped depression 1 and a parallel adjoining it have arched longitudinal web 2. It runs which is formed by the side edge 4 and a web edge 5 Parting line 18 off-center within the section III associated longitudinal web 2, as this z. B. from Fig. 4th can be seen. The lower edge 6 of the roof tile is after arched inwards, which is due to the increased width of the foot-side 2 with respect to the cross section III-III in Fig. 3 is expressed.
- the end areas are in the head area of the roof tile 12 the saddle-shaped in the illustrated embodiment trained longitudinal webs 2 flattened and in the plane of the drawing pulled down, which has particular advantages regarding the water flow and a large, secure support the lower edge 6 of the brick offers an upper layer.
- 13 are double at the front end web Head fold 15 pulled downward in the drawing plane Lugs 14 formed through which the head end surface 16 to a tilt-proof and sufficiently wide footprint widened.
- the side rebate bottom of the longitudinal grooves 9, 10 at the brick foot end is higher than at the head end, which is related has a favorable effect on possible water retention.
- Head folds drawn in in the middle parts and in the top rabbet webs 20 are through openings 21 in each Section I, II, III provided through which the water from the Channels of the head folds directly onto the respective trough-shaped Well 1 flows away.
- One of the essential features of the roof tile according to the invention is significant compared to conventional roof tiles increased width, which is due to the provision of the third Section is reached, the three sections I, II and III each the same width as the sections of one in traditionally formed from only two sections of roof tiles to have.
- the larger width results in a corresponding longer head space on the top, which ensures a safe stand the roof tile compacts transported upright through the kiln allows. Since the length / width ratio of the roof tile according to the invention much smaller than in is conventional roof tiles and can be up to ⁇ 1, become more conventional relative to the upright transport long roof tile compacts caused by deformations avoided the dead weight before and during the burning process.
- roof tiles not in cassettes, but on a tray is burned free standing upright, which is less Effort by eliminating the expensive cassettes and at the same time a more favorable course of the burning process means.
- Another essential feature of the invention Roof tile is that the top parting line between two neighboring roof tiles in one of the raised longitudinal webs runs, the two edge-side web parts 11a and 11b in the covering complete a full length bar.
- the narrow top Longitudinal joints are largely for a viewer of a roof invisible. Due to the elevated position of the longitudinal webs is due to the inventive division of a longitudinal web achieved that the side bar 17 with the two top Longitudinal grooves 9, 10 in the space below the arched web part 11b of the adjacent roof tile attacks. This ensures that the narrow Water flowing into the top of the joint 18 completely the longitudinal channels 9, 10 forming the discharge channels and in this is dissipated.
- the invention is not based on the illustrated embodiment limited.
- z. B. flat or curved shapes can be selected.
- the end surface 16 of the head fold at least approximately perpendicular to the level of the roof tile run and thus a sufficiently wide and tilt-proof Stand area should form.
