Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for operating a spinning line, which consists of at least different areas, for example from the areas of blowroom, pre-work and spinning, each area being composed of several textile machines working in series and / or parallel and forming a machine level, and the individual ones produce different fiber structures in series-connected textile machines, with fiber raw material entering the blow room being obtained as spun yarn at the exit of the spinning mill.
- the object of the present invention is a method of the type mentioned at the outset and an apparatus for carrying it out of this method in such a way that relevant quality features can be measured in all critical areas of the spinning line, the control of the entire spinning line should be carried out in such a way that on the one hand the production speed of the individual interlinked textile machines can be largely maintained in terms of the realization of a predetermined production plan, on the other hand, however, in such a way that predeterminable quality features can be adhered to at least essentially in all critical areas of the process, so that the end product of the spinning line also largely meets the requirements set out in terms of quality.
- the method according to the invention is preferably to be carried out with the aid of computers which are connected to one another, in such a way that each computer can make unambiguous decisions based on the data submitted to it or can then trigger an alarm if there are contradicting or unrealizable specifications.
- the method provides that at least some textile machines in each of the areas mentioned measure at least one quality feature of the fiber structure produced in each case and use them to regulate the respective textile machine or an upstream textile machine in the same area, and that at least some of the in the Quality characteristics, correction values are measured and used to influence the operation of a textile machine in an upstream area.
- target values or target ranges can be specified for each textile machine, both for the quality features and for the production speed of the respective machine, which must not be exceeded or fallen short of. But should the existing one Textile machine-related regulation is not sufficient to regulate the quality features back into the desired target ranges, so without throttling the production of the textile machine, which would not be desirable in view of the overall impact on the economy of the manufacturing process, a correction can be made in an earlier textile machine in the same range or even be made in a previous area of the spinning line.
- the method according to the invention offers the possibility of keeping the production speed at a desired maximum, but still adhering to the quality features, specifically through changes in other areas of the production process, of course only insofar as the changes made do not lead to inadmissible deviations in other quality features or lead at the production speed. In such a case, an alarm is triggered and the management can make other considerations, possibly changing the production speed, on its own initiative.
- the method according to the invention provides a lot of data in the form of the measured quality values, which the management can take into account on the basis of the known relationships, possibly with the aid of a computer.
- the possibility of a quality setting not only on the textile machine concerned, but also on a previous machine, possibly in another area, also offers an improved possibility of reacting if the quality is found to be poor. If, for example, it is found at the exit of the card that stack reductions have occurred, the speed of the breeze can first be changed so that it looks somewhat less aggressive.
- This example concerns only textile machines that are located in the blow room.
- the invention also enables cross-divisional quality corrections. If, for example, it is found at the exit of the ring spinning machine that the yarn strength is too low, this lack of strength being due to a stack that is too short, the reason for the stack being too short could be due to the setting of the combing machine, for example if it were set too aggressively .
- This step-by-step examination as to whether a correction can be carried out by an immediately switched machine or whether one still has to make further use of it ensures according to the invention that the necessary changes lead to the least possible disruption of the already running method. If, for example, a lack of strength at the exit of the ring spinning machine were to be used immediately to change the mixture components, this would result in a whole series of other parameters being changed, which would make the control process as a whole complicated, if not impossible.
- the method according to the invention is to be carried out in particular by using computers.
- the production processes in the individual areas are determined by the process computers assigned to the respective areas, which are also responsible for the formation of the correction values mentioned, the individual process computers forming a process control level being connected to one another, and that the transmission of the correction values from one area to another are carried out via the respective process computers.
- the process computers in the process control level are preferably connected to an operations control computer with which they can also exchange data.
- the process control computer represents a process control level that is higher than the process control level and the machine level.
- the process control level additionally has a process computer for a raw material storage area and / or a process computer for a bobbin storage area, the movement sequences of the fiber raw material in the raw material storage area and / or the finished bobbins in the bobbin storage area being determined by the respective process computers.
- process computers can also store information about the stocks in the respective stores.
- the operations control computer includes Information on the incoming orders (scope, type of yarn, delivery quantities, planned delivery times, agreed prices, quality characteristics of the desired yarn) as well as information on the stocks of fiber raw materials of the different provenances or expected deliveries from other provenances, including information on the technical characteristics of the fibers of the individual bales are stored.
- the operations control computer enables the operations management to draw up a favorable production plan, which means that Individual customer orders must be processed in the intended order, provided that storage or deliveries of raw materials and the available capacity allow this.
- the necessary basic data is communicated from the operations control computer to the individual process computers connected to one another via a local network, whereby these make the necessary basic settings for the commissioning, operation and shutdown of the individual textile machines, partly on the basis of the basic data transmitted by the operations control computer and partly on the basis of the respective memories contained data.
- the system can also be programmed as a kind of self-learning system, so that in the case of repeated orders, the basic settings once learned can be used again, if necessary with small adjustments, to take account of variations in the properties of the individual fiber raw materials. Corrective measures that have been tried and found to be useful can also be used again and again if the same pattern of deviations is present.
- the process can run in such a way that the quality features measured in each area are fed to the relevant process computer and that the latter compares these quality features with values specified by the operations control computer, for example, and intervenes in the regulation of the respective area in the event of an unfavorable comparison, provided within the scope of the regulation, taking into account the intended production, a change in the measured quality characteristics is possible in the sense of a more favorable comparison. If this is not attainable or only by an undesired change of the Control or production is achievable, a correction value is calculated from the quality features, which is used for a parameter change in the previous area of the spinning line.
- the regulation of the individual textile machines on the basis of the quality features measured at the output of the respective machine is often carried out by an autonomously functioning regulation assigned to the machine.
- the control or regulation of the production of the individual textile machines is preferably also carried out by the respectively assigned process computer, which can take into account the production specifications specified by the operational control computer and the information provided by the other process computers regarding the respective production speed.
- the system aims for a constant production speed, which should be as high as possible.
- This document discloses a method for controlling and / or regulating a spinning preparation plant, ie the blow room area, which consists of several assemblies, each assembly having more than one machine in which the type and amount of processing of the fiber material are measured and controlled and is characterized in that fiber material and / or machine-related values are constantly measured in the assemblies or individual machines, compared by a microcomputer with predetermined nominal values and recalculated in the event of deviations from the nominal values and the new value is an actuator of the assemblies or Individual machines are fed again.
- the Citation does not deal with the control of an entire spinning line consisting of several areas and gives no indication that it would be appropriate to divide the entire spinning line into several areas or how this division should be carried out and how the process should then be carried out.
- a spinning line 10 which represents a machine level, is divided into five areas 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20 arranged in a row.
- the area 12 comprises the bale warehouse, where the bales are stored and transported to the subsequent area, namely the cleaning area 14.
- the area 14 comprises various textile machines, for example bale openers, coarse and fine cleaning machines, mixers and cards as well as a belt deposit.
- the area 14 is followed by the so-called Vortechnik area 16, which in this example consists of combing machines and draw frames.
- the spinning area 18, consisting of roving machines, for example flyers, ring spinning machines, open-end spinning machines, other spinning machines, for example friction spinning machines, and winders.
- the product of area 18 consists of yarn bobbins and these are stored in a subsequent bobbin storage area 20 and packaged for delivery to the respective customer in the packaging of the bobbin store.
- the spinning area usually consists of either flyers and ring spinning machines or open-end spinning machines or other spinning machines.
- a mixture of different types of spinning machines in this area is conceivable, but in practice it is rather unlikely.
- a respective process computer 22, 24, 26, 28, 30 is provided, which is connected via respective lines 32, 34, 36, 38 and 40 to the respectively assigned product area 12 to 20.
- the process computers 22 to 30 are connected to one another via a local network, which also includes a connection 44 to an operations control computer 46.
- the lines 32 to 40 can also be designed as local networks, if necessary, so that communication between each process computer and the associated computer-controlled machines is readily possible is.
- the five process computers 22 to 30 hierarchically define a process control level, while the operations control computer in the hierarchy is one floor higher and defines an operations control level.
- a laboratory computer 48 can also be present, which is usefully integrated into the process control level and with the process computers 22 to 30 communicates via the local network 42.
- the functions performed by the raw material 22 process computer and the yarn 30 process computer can be integrated in the blowroom 24 PS computer or in the spinning 28 PS computer.
- the operations control computer 46 i.a. the orders are entered by the individual customers with all relevant information as well as information on the fiber bale purchased by the management and still to be delivered.
- the operations control computer Via the connection 44 and the local network 42, the operations control computer also has access to the information stored in the process computer 22 about the current stock levels and the yarns made in the yarn 30 stored in the process computer, which are used by the operation management when the individual production plans are drawn up Operations control computer are required.
- the operations control computer can also perform other necessary functions, for example it can handle administrative and commercial EDP tasks and control certain auxiliary systems, for example fire protection and HVAC systems.
- FIG. 2 shows the blow room area in solid lines and the bale storage area in broken lines.
- the material flow takes place in Fig. 2 from left to right and will marked with the arrow-like triangles 52.
- bale removal machine 53 which removes fiber flakes from the individual bales and feeds them into a coarse cleaning machine 54.
- the roughly cleaned product then goes into a mixer 56 which mixes together the flakes of the different provenances obtained from the rough cleaning machine 54.
- the proportions of the different provenances are determined by the bale removal machine 53, which of course can only remove those bales that are supplied to it from the bale store.
- the starting product of the mixer then leads to a fine cleaning machine 58, and the finely cleaned flakes are then fed into the feed shaft 60 of a card 62.
- a card 62 Although only one slot 60 and one card 62 are shown in Fig. 2, in practice several slots and cards are operated in parallel, i.e.
- the carded fibers are brought together to form a card sliver at the end of the card and then filled into cans, which are temporarily stored in a sliver storage device 64.
- the cans then move out of the belt store 64 of the blow room into the Vortechnik area of FIG. 3.
- the field 66 indicates a waste processing machine, ie a machine which brings the fiber waste from other production stages back into flake form, the flakes thus prepared being able to be mixed as mixed fibers with the flakes coming from the bale removal machine 53.
- the processed flakes are fed out of the machine 66 to a metering machine 68, which then feeds the flakes into introduces the pneumatic transport line between the bale removal machine 53 and the coarse cleaning machine 54, but this is not shown here in order to simplify the illustration.
- bale removal machine can be used between the bale removal machine and the coarse cleaning machine.
- machines or devices can be used between the bale removal machine and the coarse cleaning machine. These include, for example, a foreign matter separation device 70, a metal separation device 72 and a honey dew treatment device 74.
- the first possibility is to further process card slivers in two lines 76 and 78 connected in series by doubling and warping in order to increase their uniformity and to parallelize the fibers.
- Line 80 indicates that it is not necessary to twist the card sliver twice, for some purposes a single twist is sufficient.
- a third possibility is to draw the card slivers in a draw frame 76 and then to prepare them for the combing in a unit 82.
- a draw frame 76 For the card slivers are put together in a unit in the unit 82 and then fed to the actual combing machine 84.
- the combed fleece is brought together into a band and treated again in a further section 78.
- the vertical line 86 shows that the card sliver can be guided directly to the combing preparation unit 82 bypassing the first section 76.
- the card sliver treated twice by the lines 76, 78 3 is usually guided to an open-end spinning machine 88, which uses it to produce yarn.
- the once drawn card sliver which is obtained on the vertical line 80 in FIG. 3, on the other hand, is used more for novel spinning processes such as, for example, friction spinning or nozzle spinning, the corresponding process being carried out in the unit 90.
- a yarn is obtained as the direct product of the process.
- the drawn and combed card sliver from the lower part of FIG. 3 is usually fed to a flyer 92 and the roving thus formed is then spun into the finished yarn in a ring spinning machine 94.
- the yarn produced by the ring spinning machine, which is wound on spinning heads, is fed to a bobbin winder 96, which cuts out faulty yarn pieces and winds the yarn on larger bobbins.
- the vertical line 98 indicates that a finished yarn product is present here.
- the yarn product can be packaged and labeled immediately, which is done with the machine 100, where the yarn is damped in the damping unit 102 beforehand. This applies to all yarns, regardless of whether they come from the open-end spinning machine, from the ring spinning machine or from another spinning process.
- the process computer 24, 26 and 28 responsible for the respective area is shown in FIGS. 2 to 5.
- the connections between the respective process computers and the individual machines in their area are not shown in these figures, but only those machines on which quality features are measured and communicated to the responsible process computer are indicated with a double line and the designation PS provided that the quality characteristics measured in this way can also have an effect on another area.
- a recording station 104 is shown starting from the bale store, which is also provided with a double line and the designation PS.
- the responsible process computer is either process computer 24 or, in the event that a separate process computer is provided for the raw materials area, this computer.
- quality controls so-called Q controls, are provided, which not only have an effect on the machine itself, but also on the operation of a machine upstream in the material flow direction.
- the card is fed back to the fine cleaning machine, the bale removal machine and the bale store.
- FIGS. 5 and 6 indicate in a compact form which sensors are available on which machines. These tables also state whether the quality characteristics are recorded intermittently (i) or continuously (k), and in some cases it is also stated that the monitoring can also be carried out in both ways.
- the accuracy with which they should work is also indicated. In the case of the sensors, where the accuracy is indicated by a double arrow, it can be assumed that the sensors should preferably work with an accuracy better than 1%.
- FIGS. 7 and 8 offer further help in recording the control / regulating variables occurring in the individual machines and the corresponding manipulated variables. These are the control / regulating variables of the machine's internal control loops, i.e. the control loops assigned to the respective machine. In addition to this, the table in FIG. 9 also specifies those quality features which are recorded on one machine and lead to control interventions in other machines.
- the throughput of the mixer is recorded and used to control the operating speed of the bale removal machine 53 and possibly the automatic bale transport systems in the bale storage 12.
- the flake material is carded in the card 62.
- the number of the card sliver and the CV value are measured in the card and used to control the card by an internal control loop.
- the corresponding values can also be transferred to the process computer 24 so that it is fully informed of the sequence in the card. Since the card should also reach a certain level of production, production is measured here too, and the operation of the mixer is controlled and regulated accordingly so that the mixer only mixes as many flakes as the card can actually process.
- the transport routes within the fine cleaning machine and shaft 60 offer certain buffer capacities.
- the number of nits, the stack, the micronaire value, the color, the finish, the excreted dirt and the fiber strength are measured at the exit of the card, and these values must meet very specific criteria. If these values do not succeed by regulating the card To keep within the specified limits, an attempt is first made to improve the corresponding values by readjusting the fine cleaning machine. If this does not succeed, it is necessary to change the mixing ratios, which has to be done by controlling the bale removal machine and finally also has an effect on the bale storage, which is indicated by the arrows entering these machines. Although the corresponding arrows come from the corresponding Q sensors of the card, the signals are actually forwarded from the area computer 24.
- the area computer 24 continuously receives the values measured by the corresponding quality sensors and has the option of at least temporarily storing these values.
- the card sliver produced is then filled into cans in the sliver depositing machine 64, the operation of the can filling heads being regulated in such a way that a constant sliver tension is reached, which is indicated by the corresponding reference in FIG. 2 next to the can filling machine 64.
- the internal lines 76 and 78 are provided which keep certain quality features within certain limits. This includes, for example, the volume number produced, the CV value, the stack and the color, and the spectrogram can also be measured and controlled. All the measured values are transferred to the responsible process computer 26.
- the combing preparation unit is also connected to the process computer 26 so that the computer always knows the operating state of this unit.
- the front area Quality characteristics measured in the form of the band number, the CV value, the stack and the micronaire value are also transmitted to the responsible process computer 26.
- corrections may have to be made for the stack and the micronaire value.
- This correction is made by readjusting the bale removal machine, i.e. the mixing ratios of the individual provenances are changed.
- the corresponding arrow leads directly from the combing machine 84 to the bale removal machine 54, the need for the correction is indeed recognized by the process computer 26 and communicated to the process computer 24 of the blow room area via the local network 42 and the corresponding change in the mixing ratios is carried out by this computer , in accordance with the procedure for a correction due to discrepancies in the quality features at the exit of card 62.
- the so-called 4K value (information on the frequency of thick spots / thin spots, moire values and long thick spots) as well as the spectrogram are measured and controlled by an internal control circuit. If it is not possible to regulate these values into the desired areas by means of the internal control circuit, then a correction must be made on the card and possibly also on the draw frame, which is indicated by the corresponding arrows in FIGS. 2, 3 and 4.
- the measured values for the quality features are entered into the process computer 28 of the spinning area and this decides on the need for a control intervention on the card or possibly on the draw frame. If such a correction is decided, this is communicated to the responsible process computer 24 or 26 and the corresponding new setting or the corresponding control intervention is carried out by the responsible computer.
- the rupture condition, the roving tension values and the roving number are measured and internally controlled as quality features.
- the measured values are also communicated to the responsible process computer 28 of the spinning area.
- the 4K value is again measured and used for the internal control of the mode of operation of the winder. After the winder you can also check the fiber mix and the hairiness of the yarn. You can also see the work capacity, the thread number, the CV value and possibly measure the Classimat value after the winder and use it to correct the ring spinning machine 94. All of these measured values, as indicated by the designation PS, are communicated to the process computer 28 and any corrective measures on the ring spinning machine are commanded by the process computer 28.
- all packaged and labeled coils are recorded in the output detection station 106 and the corresponding values are stored in the responsible process computer and are available there to the operations control computer.
- This can be pure quantity information, classified according to yarn number and yarn properties, or information about the respective storage locations, in the latter case if the bobbin storage is computerized, for example in such a way that the transport systems and storage locations are regulated or specified by the computer .
- the blowroom is characterized by a continuous flow of material (pneumatic transport system) and ends with the card.
- the "spinning hall” is characterized by a large number of individual processing stations (spinning stations) and special problems arise here that require special solutions.
- the "Vorwerk” area is characterized by a discontinuous material flow (in containers) and depends strongly on the end product (e.g. combed material / carded material only).
- Vortechnik area as a separate area and its integration into the overall processing line is considered to be particularly important for the present application.
- the present invention comprises measuring quality properties and production speeds on individual machines with the aim of basically first trying and carrying out a correction on the particular machine on which the quality or production characteristics were measured, if the measured values do not correspond to the desired values. If this is not possible, an attempt is made to correct the measured values by correcting a previous machine in the same area. If this is not possible, the correction is made at an earlier stage, i.e. on a machine in a previous area of the production line.
