- the frame 2 consists of two side parts 20 and two webs 21 connecting the ends of the frame parts 20. These webs 21 give the frame 2 the necessary dimensional rigidity and ensure that the grids 3 are also fixed in the longitudinal direction.
- the side parts 20 are provided with a lower, continuous rib 22, with which outwardly projecting anchoring tabs 23 are integrally connected.
- the underside of the side parts 20 each have a groove 25 or 26 at the transition point to the anchoring tabs 23 and at the approach of the downwardly projecting guide part 24 of the frame.
- the outer groove 25 causes a notch in the anchoring tabs 23 so that, as will be described later, these can be severed at this predetermined breaking point if necessary.
- the two grooves 25, 26 are produced during the casting of the frame by grinding a recess into the casting mold for the raised part 27 between the two grooves.
- the anchoring tabs 23 prevent the frame 2 from shifting in the longitudinal direction.
- the outer surface of the side parts 20 of the frame is at least approximately vertical, the upper surface of the lateral rib 22 is at least approximately horizontal and the transition part between them is rounded. This means that the top layer of the traffic route can be filled up to the frame 2, and no expensive joint tape needs to be used in time-consuming work.
- the grate 3 has, in a known manner, elongated openings 31, arranged transversely to the longitudinal axis, between two side ribs 30.
- the outer surfaces 32 of the side ribs 30 are likewise at least approximately vertical and the lower bearing surfaces 33 are horizontal for resting on the inner shoulder 28 of the frame 2.
- a web 40 in the frame 2 is located approximately in the middle under the grate 3 and has a through hole 41 (FIGS. 3 to 5) for fastening the grate 3 by means of a screw 42.
- the head 43 of the screw 42 is sunk in a recess 34 in the grate 3.
- Under the web 40 is a bolt 45 screwed to the screw 42 (Fig. 3-5). The ends of the bolt 45 engage after turning into the position shown in the bolt holder 44 in the side walls 11 in order to hold the grate 3 and the frame 2 on the channel body 1.
- the latch holder 44 is claimed in parent application EP-A-112287 and described in more detail.
- the channel body 1 is cast into a concrete banquet 50. Any dowels are not shown.
- the hot mix support layer (HMT) 51 is flush with the support surface 16 of the support rib 13. If the depression of the shape shoulder 14 is now the same size as that of the support shoulder 28 with respect to the surface of the frame part 20, a grate 3 inserted therein is also flush with the HMT 51.
- the screw 42 By means of the screw 42, the bolt 45 can be turned to engage the two bolt holders 44 and the grating 3 can be fastened by tightening the screw 42.
- the frame 2 when a cover layer 52 is later installed on the banquet 50, the frame 2 can be placed on the channel body 1 instead of the grate 3. If the banquet 50 can be milled out next to the channel body 1, or if a joint tape has been inserted into the banquet 50 before the installation of the cover layer 52, the frame 2 can be used with anchoring tabs 23, otherwise the anchoring tabs 23 would have to be used, as in FIG. 4 is shown, separated from the frame 2. This separation can be done by the groove 25 in a simple manner by means of a hammer, by striking the anchoring tab 23 from above.
- the web 40 of the frame 2 is, as mentioned, provided with a through hole 41.
- the screw 42 is thus inserted through the web 40 and screwed into the bolt 45.
- the grate 3 can thus be attached to the frame 2 and both are rigidly connected to the channel body 1 by means of the bolt 45 and the bolt holder 44.
- FIG. 5 shows the case when an upper base layer 53 is placed on the banquet 50 and then the cover layer 52 on this base layer 53. So that the traffic route can only be used with the banquet 50, the grate 3 can first be used according to FIG be placed directly on the channel body 1.
- An attachment element 4 which can be placed on the support surface on the channel body 1 and has a similar support surface at the top as the channel body 1, serves to bridge the additional height.
- the attachment element 4 can be designed as a housing closed on four sides or it can have two side walls 61 connected by transverse ribs.
- the frame 2 according to FIG. 3 or 4 can be put on and a longer screw 46 is then used to connect the channel body 1, attachment element 4, frame 2 and grate 3 to one another in the manner described above.
