Abstract
1307370 Drainage channel grating supports DUDLEY & DOWELL Ltd 9 Dec 1970 [13 Dec 1969] 60894/69 Addition to 1238350 Heading E1G In a grating assembly wherein a drainage channel is covered by a series of gratings 111 seated on two parallel rows of L-section framing members 113, 113, e.g. of iron, interlocked end to end by dovetail or other tongues and sockets 115, 119 as in the parent specification, the framing members are modified (a) by the provision of rigid transverse connections such as integral end members 114 so that the gratings 111 seat in a series of interlocked rectangular frames; and/or (b) by the shaping of the tongues and sockets as shown, i.e. with part-cylindrical surfaces allowing a degree of play for negotiating curves - particularly when the transverse connections 114 are omitted. For sharp curves wedge-shaped frame linking members are provided. Each end of the rectangular frame 113-114 may have two tongues (as shown) or one tongue and one socket.
