Abstract

1346101 Gratings O WYSS 19 April 1971 [2 April 1970] 26050/71 Heading D1K [Also in Division E1] A grating comprises a plurality of longitudinal bar sections 1 carried on transverse bar sections 2, the transverse bar sections having elastically flexible walls 7 movable into locking engagement with the longitudinal bar sections by wedge shaped key members 3 when the bolts 5 are tightened to secure the transverse bar sections 2 to transverse webs 4. Sections 2 have inter-fitting ends 4 so that they can be joined in a series. The grating may be provided with a frame. Sections 1 and 2 and webs 4 may be of light metal and members 3 of plastics. Otherwise some members may be of brass or all may be of plastics.
