822,676. Double-link chains; cotters and circlips &c. SIEMAG FEINMECHANISCHE WERKE G.m.b.H. Sept. 27, 1957 [Oct. 9, 1956], No. 30311/57. Classes 24 and 89(2) The chain bolts 1 of a double-link chain e.g. a sluice chain, have recesses 5, 6 on one side only, the recesses 5 being engaged by projections 8 on clamping rings 7a or 7b, and the recesses 6 being engaged by semi-circular discs 9 which are sunk into the inner links 4 and prevent rotation of the bolts 1 relative to these and the outer links 2, in addition to preventing longitudinal movement of the inner links 4. By having only one disc 9 on each bolt and placing them alternately right and left each bolt may be separately removed and the replacement of parts is facilitated. Spacers 11 allow free rotation of the links 3.
