Abstract

Воплощения данного изобретения относятся к способам анализа биологического образца организма на наличие делеции или амплификации в одной или более хромосомной области, ассоциированной с раком, системам и аппаратуре для его осуществления. Молекулы нуклеиновых кислот биологического образца секвенируют, так что секвенируется часть генома. Соответствующие количества клинически релевантной хромосомы и фоновых хромосом определяют из результатов секвенирования. Параметр, полученный из таких количеств (например, соотношение), сравнивают с одним или несколькими пороговыми значениями, причем таким образом определяют классификацию того, имеется ли раковое заболевание.
