Claims (6)

1. Fremgangsmåde til fremstilling af en hydrobehandlingskatalysator omfattende: (I) tilvejebringe mindst følgende komponenter: (A) mindst én calcineret perforeret bærer med et vandporevolumen; (B) katalytiske aktive metaller der er nyttige i hydrobehandling af carbonhydrider, hvilke metaller i form af mindst én komponent tilvejebringer mindst ét metal fra gruppe VIB fra det periodiske system og mindst én komponent tilvejebringer mindst ét metal fra gruppe VIII fra det periodiske system; (C) mindst ét chelateringsmiddel, hvor chelateringsmidlet er en hyd roxyca rboxy I sy re; (D) vand i en mængde der er tilstrækkelig til at danne en opløsning eller dispersion omfattende de katalytiske aktive metaller og det mindst ene chelateringsmiddel; og (E) eventuelt, mindst én phosphor-indeholdende syrekomponent; (II) bringe komponenten (I)(A) i kontakt med opløsning eller dispersion omfattende (I)(B), (I)(C), (I)(D) og eventuelt (I)(E) i en tidsrum og ved en temperatur der er tilstrækkelig til at danne en blanding og til at imprægnere bæreren med en egnet mængde af komponenterne (I)(B) og (I)(C) og eventuelt (I)(E); (III) i det omfang at volumenet af opløsningen eller dispersion er lig med eller overstiger vandporevolumenet af bæreren der adskiller den imprægnerede bærer fra den overskydende opløsning eller dispersion; og (IV) opvarme den imprægnerede bærer til en temperatur på 400°F til 420°F (204,4°C til 215,5°C) i en periode på mindre end 1 time så at ingen væsentlig sønderdeling af det mindst ene chelateringsmiddel forårsages.
2. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvor det mindst ene metal fra gruppe VIB er valgt fra gruppen bestående af molybdæn og wolfram og hvor det mindst ene metal fra gruppe VIII er valgt fra gruppen bestående af kobolt og nikkel.
3. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvor det mindst ene hydroxycarboxylsyre er valgt fra gruppen bestående af glycolsyre, hydroxypropionsyre, hydroxysmørsyre, hydroxyhexanonsyre, vinsyre, æblesyre, glycerinsyre, citronsyre og gluconsyre.
4. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, for den perforerede bærer er mindst et medlem valgt fra gruppen bestående af silica, silica-gel, silica-aluminiumoxid, aluminiumoxid, titanium, titanium-aluminiumoxid, zirconium-aluminiumoxid, zirconium, bortrioxid, terran, kaolin, magnesiumsilicat, magnesiumcarbonat, magnesiumoxid, aktivt kul, bauxit, kiselgur, pimpsten, natur ler, syntetisk ler, kationisk ler eller anionisk ler såsom saponit, bentonit, kaolin, sepiolit eller hydrotalcit, og blandinger deraf.
5. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvor: (A) molforholdet af Gruppe VIII metal til Gruppe VIB metal er 0,05 til 0,75, og hvor Gruppe VIII-metalkomponenten tilvejebringes af en komponent med en vandig opløselighed på mindre end 0,05 mol/100 ml (ved 18°C); eller (B) hvor den mindst ene phosphor-indeholdende syrekomponent er en oxygeneret uorganisk phosphor-indeholdende syre og er til stede i en mængde der er tilstrækkelig til at tilvejebringe elementær phosphor til Gruppe VIB-metal-molforhold på 0,01 to 0,80,
6. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvor mængden af chelateringsmidlet der skal sættes til katalysatoren er 0,05 til 5 molær gange det totale antal mol af metallerne fra Gruppe VIB og Gruppe VIII og mængden af hydroxycarboxylsyre på den imprægnerede perforerede bærer før opvarmningen overstiger mængden i katalysatoren efter opvarmning med 1 til 10 vægtprocent.
