Gegenstand des Hauptpatents 593 048 ist ein Verfahren zur Erhöhung der Netzfähigkeit von Mercerisierlaugen, welches durch die Verwendung von Phenolen und stickstoffhaltigen organischen Basen gekennzeichnet ist.
Bei weiterer Ausbildung dieses Verfahrens wurde gefunden, daß insbesondere Mischungen aus Phenolen und monoacylierten Äthylendiaminen bzw. deren Homologen und Substitutionsprodukten den Mercerisierlaugen eine noch beständigere Netzfähigkeit verleihen. Dies zeigt sich darin, daß die Mercerisierlaugen, welche diese Verbindungen enthalten, ihre Netzfähigkeit sogar nach langem Lagern in offenen Gefäßen nicht verlieren.
Als acylierte Äthylendiamine kann man z. B. Monooleyläthylendiamin, dessen Substitutionsproidukte, wieMonooleyldiäthyläthylendiamin, oder dessen Alkylierungsprodukte in Form der freien Basen oder der Salze in Mischung mit geeigneten Phenolen zur Mercerisierlauge zusetzen.
Die auf diese Art hergestellten Mercerisierlaugen besitzen ein ausgezeichnetes Netzvermögen von guter Beständigkeit.
Beispiel 1
Einer Mercerisierlauge von 320 Be werden 1,17 Gewichtsprozent eines Gemisches aus 90 °/0 technischem Xylenolgemisch und 10 °/0 Diäthylaminoäthyloleylamid von der Formel
CH3 (CHa)7-CH = CH-(CH2), — CONHCH2-CH2-N(C2Hä)2
zugesetzt, wodurch diese die Fähigkeit erlangt, rohe unentschlichtete Baumwollgewebestücke oder stark gezwirnte Rohgarne so vollkommen zu durchdringen, daß sie innerhalb weniger Sekunden untersinken und sehr rasch und intensiv einschrumpfen.
Beispiel 2
Eine Lauge von 32 ° Be, welcher man 1,18 Gewichtsprozent eines Gemisches aus 9 Teilen technischem Teerkreosolgemisch und ι Teil Oleylamidoäthyldiäthyknethylammoniummethylsuifat von folgender Formel

(hergestellt durch Vereinigen von ι Mol Diäthylamidoäthyloleylamid mit ι Mol Dimethylsulfat)' zugesetzt hai, ist klar und besitzt eine - gute Netz·*, Durchdringungs- und Schrumpfwirkung für Rohbauimwiollwaren.
Beispiel 3
Setzt man zu einer Mercerisierlauge vo'n 35° Be eine Mischung aus 90 Gewichtsprozent technischem Xylenolgemisch und 10 Gewichtsprozent Oleylamidoäthyldiäthylbenzylammoniumchlorid von folgender Formel
(C2H5)2 C17H33CO-NH-CH2-CH2-N
(hergestellt nach dem amerikanischen Patent 1737 458 durch mehrstündiges Erhitzen von Diäthylamidoäthyloleylamid mit Benzylchlorid), so erlangt sie dadurch die Fähigkeit, rohe, d. h. vollkommen ungebäuchte und selbst unentschlichtete Gewebe und Garne augenblicklich und vollkommen gleichmäßig zu durchdringen, so daß dieselben rasch untersinken und intensiv einschrumpfen.
Beispiel 4
Eine Mercerisierlauge von 300 Be und 150C wird mit 1,8 Gewichtsprozent einer Lösung von 1 Teil Diäthylamidoäthylnaphthensäureamid (hergestellt aus dem Chlorid eines bei 5 mm Hg zwischen 120 bis i6o° siedenden Naphthensäuregemisches und asymmetrischem Diäthyläthylendiamin) in 9 Teilen technisches Xylenolgemisch versetzt. Die klare Lauge besitzt eine außerordentlich hohe Netz- und Schrumpfwirkung, welche nach otägigem offenem Aufbewahren fast ganz unverändert bleibt.

Die Prozentzahlen geben die nach bestimmten Zeiten erreichte Schrumpfung in Prozenten der ursprünglichen Garnlänge an. Die außerordentlich rasche Reaktion zwischen dem Alkali und der Cellulose, welche ihren sichtbaren Ausdruck im Schrumpflingsverlauf findet, zeigt, daß der dem Eindringen der wässerigen Lauge von der natürlichen Roh- : faser entgegengesetzte Widerstand durch den Netzmittelzusatz augenblicklich überwunden wird.
Rohgarne, welche mit dieser Lauge mercerisiert werden, zeigen einen hervorragenden Hochglanz und sind vollkommen gleichmäßig anfärbbar.
Netzversuche mit Rohpopelinegeweben:
Die trockenen Gewebestücke netzen sich bei der frisch angesetzten sowie bei der 6 Tage bei Zimmertemperatur in einer flachen offenen Schale aufbewahrten Lauge im Moment des Auflegens auf die Lauge vollkommen gleichmäßig durch und sinken innerhalb 15 Sekunden darin zu Boden.
Die Wirkung der Lauge ist somit selbst bei längerem offenem Aufbewahren, wie dies in der Praxis meistens vorkommt, unverändert geblieben. Diese Tatsache bedeutet einen wichtigen Vorteil, denn sie ermöglicht eine fortlaufend gleichmäßige Rohmercerisation.
Beispiels
Man fügt zu einer 3Sgrädigen Natronlauge 1,15 Gewichtsprozent eines Gemisches aus 9 Teilen technischem Xylenolgemisch und ι Teil Naphthenoylamidoäthyldiäthylbenzylammoniumchlorid (hergestellt durch mehrstündiges Erhitzen von Benzylchlorid mit dem in Beispiel 4 genannten Diäthylamidoäthylnaphthensäureamid)* und erhält eine klare Flüssigkeit von ausgezeichneter Netz- und Schrumpfwirkung für Rohibaumwollgewebe und Garne.
Beispiel 6
Eine Natronlauge von 32° Be, welcher man i,5S Gewichtsprozent eines Gemisches aus 90 Teilen technischem Teerkresolgemisch und 10 Teilen Naphthenoylamidöäthyldiäthylmethylammoniummethylsulfat (in analoger Weise wie die in Beispiel 2 genannte Substanz durch Vereinigung von Diathylamidoäthylnaphthensäureamid mit Dimethylsulfat hergestellt) zugesetzt hat, ist klar und besitzt eine ausgezeichnete Durchdringungs- und
Schrumpffähigkeit für Rohbaumwollgarne und Gewebe. Sie ändert sich bei mehrtägigem offenem Aufbewahren sowohl in ihrer Wirkung und Beschaffenheit kaum.
Beispiel 7
Eine Natronlauge von 300 Be, welche i)35 Gewichtsprozent eines Gemisches aus 9 Teilen * technischem Xylenolgemisch und ι Teil Diäthylaminoäthyllauroylamid (hergestellt aus Laurinsäurechlorid und asymmetrischem Diäthyläthylendiamin) enthält, ist klar und besitzt eine hervorragende Netz- und Durchdringungswirkung für unvorbehandelte Rohbaumwollwaren.
Beispiel 8
Einer 34grädigen Natronlauge werden 1,15 Gewichtsprozent einer Lösung von ι Teil Naphthenoylamidoäthylidiäthylisobütylammoniumbromid (hergestellt durch mehrstündiges Erhitzen des im Beispiel genannten Diäthylamidoäthylnaphthensäurearnids mit Isobutylbromid) in 9 Teilen technischem Xylenolgemisch zugesetzt, wodurch dieselbe eine ausgezeichnete Netz- und Schrumpfwirkung
für Rohbaumwollgarne und selbst 11,8 To

Rohe und unentschlichtete Popalinegewebe, welche bekanntlich aus stark gezwirntem Material hergestellt und sehr dicht gewoben sind, netzen sich in der Lauge im Moment des Auflegens sofort vollkommen gleichmäßig durch und sinken darin innerhalb 15 Sekunden unter.

Claims (1)

  1. . Patentanspruch:
    Abänderung des durch Patent 593 048 geschützten Verfahrens zur Erhöhung der Netzfähigkeit von Mercerisierlaugen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man als stickstoffhaltige organische Basen monoacylierte Äthylendiamine, deren Homologe und Substitutionsprodukte bzw. deren Salze verwendet.
