HlstoQoniasle ist eine Ocflügelerkr*nkung* die durch den Pro*
tosoenparasiten Histomonas meleagridis veruroaoht wird. Diese
Erkrankung, die auch als Tr\<thahnachvarzkopf (turkey blackhead) oder Enterohepatitls bekannt ist, stellt ein sohweres
wirtsqhaftlichea Problem in der truthahnzUchtenden Industrie
dar. Dor Befall breitet sich häufig rasch in Truthahnherden
aus, und hohe Mortalitätsquoten aufgrund dieser Erkrankung sind UbIioh. Die £ur Zeit zur Behandlung von Truthahnechwar*-
kopf zur Verfügung stehenden Verbindungen sind in gewissen
Grade vorteilhaft, doch hat sich keine von ihnen ala vollständig
zufriedenstellend erwiesen, da sie die Entwicklung von resistcnton
Stämmen des infizierenden Organisr.ua erlauben oder

zu unerwünschten Nebenwirkungen bei Fütterung an die Vögel
bei den zur Behandlung der Erkrankung erforderlichen Mengen führen.
Die Protozoenerkrankung Trichotnoniasis, die durch T. vajlnalis verursacht wird, infiziert hauptsächlich dia Vagina hei
Menschen und lat die ätiologisohe Ursache einer sehr störenden und verbreiteten Form von vaginaler Entzündung, die als
T. vacinalis vaglnltia bekannt ist. Die bisher mir Behandlung
dieser Erkrankung zur Verfügung stehenden Medikamente haben wLo diejenigen, die zur Behandlung von Entere hepatitis verwendet werden, gewisse Begrenzungen und Haohtolle,
Gegenstand der Erfindung sind Verbindungen dor allgemeinen
Formel
worin bedeuten: Ar einen Arylrest« R1Q ein Wasserstoff- oder
Halogenatotn oder eine Nitrogruppe und R11 ein Wasserstoff»
oder Halogenatom oder einen nledrig-Alkyl-, Aryl-, Nitro-,
Di-niedrlg-alkylsulfonainido-, Cyano-, Di-niedrig-alkylcarboxamido-, Pormyl-, niedrig-Alkanoyl-, Acylamino-ixledrig-alkyl-,
Di-niödrig-alkylamino-niedrig-alkyl-, N*-Morpholino-niedrlgalkyl-, M1 -Piperidino-niedrig-alkyl-, Ml-3Pyrro!.ldino-niedrigalkyl-, niedrig-Alkoxyoarbonyl- oder niedrlg-Aürylsulfonylrest.
Vorzugsweise bedeutet Ar in der obigen Formel einen Phenyl-*

In einem hohon Cxydationazuatand enthalten, wie beispielsweise Nifcroniumtotrafluofccrat, Mitronlumhexafluophoephat, Nitro*
niumher.afluoarsenet, Nltroniumhcxafluosilioat, Nitroniumhexafluoantiwonat, Kitroniuaperchlorat und derglelohen, vorzugsweise Nltroniumtotrafluoborat, sind für diesen Zweck brauohbar. Die Verwendung eines Inerten Löaunganittels, un da« InIdazol in Lösung zu bringen, ist bevorzugt. Lösungsmittel, wie
beiöpiGlsweice Acetonitril, Chlorofom» Hitroeethan, Diohloräthan, Totromothylensulfon und derglelehen, sind für diesen
Zweck geeignet. Die Nitrierung kann bei Temperaturen zwischen etua O °C und Zimmertemperatur und darüber, vorzugsweise bei
etwa 10 bis 20 0C, vorgenommen werden*

verwendeten 2-Arylimldazole können naoh an sich au» omr Literatur bokfinnten Synthosemethoden hergestellt werden« Sine Methoüe sm* Herstellung dleeer Verbindungen umfasst die Reaktion
eines jr;ceignet substituierten aroraatiaohen Nitrile« wie beicpiolmjoine Eensonitril, mit einen niedrig-Alkanol und einer
etorkon Hinoralsäure» Diese Reaktion wird vorzugsweise bei etwa 0 bis 10 0C während einer Zeltepanne bis zu etwa 14 Tagen,
Je nach den verwendeten Roaktionekomponentan, durchgeführt.
Das ei'haltcne Produkt, ein niedrlg-Alkylarylimidat-hydroohlorid, v;ird dann mit einem Aminoaeetaldehydaoetal in einem geeigneten Lösungsmittel, vorzugsweise einem niedrig-Alkanol,
wie beispielsweißo Methanol» bei Temperaturen im Bereich von
etwa 0 0C bis Zimmertemperatur behandelt. Diese Temperaturen
«erden Je nach den besonderen verwendeten Reaktionakomponente<i bestimmt. Diese Reaktion kann allgemein wie folgt dargestellt werden:

Die Behandlung des erhaltenen Amidine mit Säure« wie beispißlßueine einer konzentrierten Mineralaäure, und ansohliessend mi.t einer Base, wie beispielewelee einem Alkali« oder Erd·

Chloroform werden unter Rühren innerhalb etwa 1 Stunde in kleinen Anteilen rait 156,1 g (1,17 Hol) Nitroniumfluoborat
behandelt. Die Zugabegeschwinrligkeit ist eine solche, dass
die femperatur des Heakx'.ionnsemisohcs bei 10 bis 20 0C gehal»
ten wird. Das Oeraisoh wird 2 Stunden waiter bei Zimmertemperafcuz»
garührt und in 2,5 1 wU3sriges 0,5n Natriurahydroxyd ge»
