Gegenstand der Erfindung sind 17a-Halogenäthinyl-17fl»hydroxy« 19-nor-4,9-androstadien~;3~one der allgemeinen Formel
in der X Chlor, Brom oder Fluor bedeutet, und ein Verfahren zur Herstellung dieser Verbindungen, das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass man eine Verbindung der allgemeinen Formel

In der X die obige Bedeutung bat, nit etwa einen Moläquivalent Brom in Pyridin oder mit Pyridinperbromidhydrobromid in an cioh bekannter Welse behandelt·
Die erflndungsgemäse hergestellten Verbindungen haben wertvolle biologlsohe Bigensohaften als oral und parenteral wirksame progestatlonale Mittel.
Die Oewlnnung der erfindungsgemäss herstellbaren Produkte aus der Reaktlonsnlsohung kann durch Zugabe von Wasser, Extrahieren mit einem Lösungsmittel, wie Äther, und Verdunstung des Lösungsmittels erfolgen, wobei man das Produkt in kristalliner Form erhält.
Beispiel
Hem gibt tu 100 mg l7a-Chloräthinyl-17S-hydroxy-l9-nor-5(10)-androsten-3-on in 5 onr Pyridin 1 Äquivalent Brom. Man rührt das Reaktionsgemieoh 2 Stunden bei Raumtemperatur, gieest in Eiswasser und extrahiert mit Äther. Den Xtherextrakt wäscht man mit Wasser, trooknet über natriumsulfat und' dampft im Vakuum ein und erhält so
