Abstract

Description
本发明涉及含相容介体的基于聚酰胺和以本体聚合法制备的橡胶改性聚合物的聚合物掺合物,它具有很好的机械性质如抗拉强度及断裂伸长率。
EP-A-202214报导了聚酰胺/ABS掺合物,该掺合物还含有相容介体,该介体具有能与聚酰胺的胺基或酸端基反应的官能团。
DE-A-3938421报导了在应用接枝聚合物条件下的聚酰胺的热模塑组合物,该接枝聚合物是按氧化还原聚合的确定的工艺制备并在其壳中含有丙烯酸叔丁酯。
EP-A-785234报导一种聚合物,它含以芳族乙烯基单体和烷基(甲)丙烯酸酯或丙烯腈在一种橡胶上的接枝聚合物作第一组分,带极性基团的热塑性聚合物作第二组分,以及相容性介体作第三组分。
本发明的目的是制备一种有优异机械性质如抗拉强度和断裂伸长率的聚合物掺合物。
曾经发现,基于聚酰胺和本体聚合的ABS或聚酰胺和有冲击韧性的聚苯乙烯,并含有相容介体的聚合物掺合物具有所希望的性质。
因此,本发明提供一种聚合物掺合物,它含:
A)聚酰胺,
B)通过本体聚合、溶液聚合、或本体-悬浮液-聚合法制备的接枝聚合物,该聚合物由
B1)50-99重量%的一种或几种乙烯基单体
B2)50-1重量%的一种或几种其玻璃转化温度<10℃的接枝基质
或有冲击轫性的聚苯乙烯上构成
C)至少一种相容性介体,它含至少一种带极性基团的聚合物,有时还有
D)至少一种乙烯基(共)聚合物。
本发明优选地提供一种聚合物掺合物,它含
- 10-98、优选15-70、特别优选20-60重量份组分A,
- 0.5-80、优选10-70、特别优选20-65重量份由组分B和D组成的混合物,
- 0.5-50、优选1-30,特别优选2-10重量份组分C。组分A
适宜的聚酰胺为已知的均聚酰胺、共聚酰胺和这类聚酰胺的混合物。它可以是部分结晶和/或无定形的聚酰胺。适宜的部分结晶的聚酰胺是聚酰胺-6,聚酰胺-6,6混合物和这些组分的相应共聚物。此外还可考虑这样一类部分结晶的聚酰胺,其酸组分完全或部分由对苯二酸和/或间苯二酸和/或辛二酸和/或癸二酸和/或壬二酸和/或己二酸和/或环己烷二羧酸等组成,它们的二胺组分完全或部分由间-和/或对-亚二甲苯基二胺和/或六亚甲基二胺和/或2,2,4-三甲基六亚甲基二胺和/或2,4,4-三甲基六亚甲基二胺和/或异佛尔酮二胺组成,而且其组分基本上是已知的。
此外还可举出聚酰胺,它们完全或部分由7-12碳原子环的内酰胺,有时在共应用一种或几种上述初始组分的条件下制备。
特别优选的部分结晶的聚酰胺是聚酰胺-6和聚酰胺-6,6和它们的混合物。作为无定形聚酰胺可采用已知产品。它们通过二胺如乙二胺、六亚甲基二胺、十亚甲基二胺、2,2,4-和/或2,4,4-三甲基六亚甲基二胺、间-和/或对-亚二甲苯基二胺、二-(4-氨基环己基)-甲烷、二-(4-氨基环己基)-丙烷、3,3’-二甲基-4,4’-二氨基-二环己基-甲烷、3-氨基甲基-3,5,5-三甲基环己基胺、2,5-和/或2,6-二-(氨基甲基)-降冰片烷和/或1,4-二氨基甲基环己烷等与二羧酸如草酸、己二酸、壬二酸、癸烷二羧酸、七癸烷二羧酸、2,2,4-和/或2,4,4-三甲基己二酸、间苯二酸和对苯二酸的缩聚反应制得。
通过多种单体缩聚得到的共聚物,以及添加如ε-氨基己酸、ω-氨基十一烷酸或ω-氨基月桂酸的氨基羧酸或它们的内酰胺条件下制备的共聚物也是适宜的。
特别适宜的无定形聚酰胺是由间苯二酸、六亚甲基二胺以及另外的如4,4-二氨基二环己基甲烷、异佛尔酮二胺、2,2,4-和/或2,4,4-三甲基六亚甲基二胺、2,5-和/或2,6-二(氨基甲基)-降冰片烷制备的聚酰胺;或由间苯二酸、4,4’-二氨基-二环己基甲烷和己内酰胺制备的聚酰胺;或由间苯二酸、3,3’-二甲基-4,4’-二氨基-二环己基甲烷和月桂内酰胺制备的聚酰胺;或由对苯二酸和由2,2,4-和/或2,4,4-三甲基六亚甲基二胺的异构混合物制备的聚酰胺。
代替纯4,4’-二氨基二环己基甲烷亦可采用位置异构物即双胺双环己基甲烷的混合物,其组成包括70-99摩尔%的4,4’-二氨基-异构体1-30摩尔%的2,4’-二胺基-异构体0-2摩尔%的2,2’-二胺基-异构体有时可能是相应的较高的缩合双胺,它们是通过工业规格的二氨基二苯基甲烷的氢化得到的。达30%的间苯二酸可用对苯二酸取代。
聚酰胺的相对粘度(在25℃F以1重量%的间-甲酚溶液测出的)宜为2.0-5.0,优选2.5-4.0。组分B
组分B包括一种或多种橡胶改性的接枝聚物。橡胶改型的接枝聚合物B包括由单体按B.1.1和B.1.2单体构成的无规(共)聚合物%,及用B.1.1和B.1.2构成的无规(共)聚合物接枝的橡胶B.2,而且B的制备是以已知方式按照本体聚合或溶液聚合或本体-悬浮液-聚合方法实现的,例如,像US-A 3243481、US-A 3509237、US-A 3660535、US-A 4221833和US-A 4239863所报导的那样。

优选的橡胶B.2是二烯橡胶(例如基于丁二烯、异戊二烯等)或者二烯橡胶的混合物或者二烯橡胶的共聚物或者它们与另一可共聚单体(例如胺B.1.1和B.1.2)的混合物,其条件为组分B.2的玻璃转化温度低于10℃,优选低于-10℃。特别优选的是纯聚丁二烯橡胶。
在需要和组分B.2的橡胶性质不受影响的情况下,组分B还可含少量的,通常小于5重量%,优选小于2重量%(按B.2计算)的有交联作用的烯属不饱和单体。这种有交联作用的单体的实例是亚烷基二醇-二-(甲)-丙烯酸酯、聚酯-二-(甲)-丙烯酸酯、二乙烯基苯、三乙烯基苯、氰脲酸三烯丙酯、烯丙基-(甲)-丙烯酸酯、马来酸二烯丙酯和富马酸二烯丙酯。
橡胶改性接枝聚合物B通过50-99,优选65-98,特别优选75-97重量份的由50-99,优选60-95重量份B.1.1单体和1-50,优选5-40重量份的B.1.2单体组成的混合物,在1-50,优选2-35,特别优选2-15,更特别优选2-13重量份的橡胶组分B.2存在下以接枝聚合反应得到,而且接枝聚合按照本体聚合或溶液聚合或本体-悬浮液-聚合方法进行。
在橡胶改性接枝聚合物B的制备中重要的是,橡胶组分B.2在接枝聚合前在单体B.1.1和B.1.2的混合物中处于溶解状态。橡胶组分B.2既不能是如此强交联的,以使在B.1.1和B.1.2中不能形成溶液,同时B.2又不能在接枝聚合开始时以离散颗粒的形式存在。对B的产品性质至关重要的颗粒形态学和B.2的增大的交联仅在接枝聚合过程中显示出来(参见Ullmann,Encyclopdie der Techuischen Chemie(工业化学大全),19卷,284页,第4版1980)。
B.1.1和B.1.2的无规共聚物在聚合物B中通常一部分在橡胶B.2上或以接枝的形式存在,而且这种接枝混合聚合物在聚合物B中形成离散颗粒。B.1.1和B.1.2的接枝共聚物在B.1.1和B.1.2的总共聚物中的份额—即接枝率(=实际接枝的接枝单体对采用的总的接枝单体的比×100,以%表示)-应为2-40%,优选3-30%,特别优选4-20%。
接枝聚合物B)在本发明的意义上系指由接枝的橡胶在接枝聚合中产生的产物和在接枝聚合中产生的(共)聚合物。在接枝聚合中不可避免的形成的(共)聚合物的量特别取决于单体的组成和聚合方法。由于单独加入的(共)聚合物D)的种类和量不能与接枝聚合物聚合时产生的(共)聚合物相区别,则组分B)和D的总量等于接枝聚合物和(共)聚物的和。
所得接枝橡胶颗粒的平均粒径(通过对电子显微镜照片的计数得到)介于0.5-5μm,优选0.8-2.5μm。
在本发明的意义上有冲击韧性的聚苯乙烯系指橡胶改性的聚苯乙烯或者含橡胶的聚苯乙烯,这在EP-A 878506中已有报导(引作参考)。
优选的有冲击韧性的聚苯乙烯是一种接枝聚合物,该聚合物通常通过至少一种芳族乙烯基单体(苯乙烯、α-烷基苯乙烯,例如α-甲基苯乙烯)、烷基苯乙烯(例如邻-、间-、对-甲基苯乙烯),优选苯乙烯,在有接枝基质的存在下按照已知方式(本体聚合、本体-悬浮液聚合、溶液聚合或乳液-聚合)得到的。
作为接枝基质可采用二烯橡胶(优选聚丁二烯、聚异戊二烯、苯乙烯/丁二烯-共聚物,特别优选聚丁二烯)、乙烯-乙烯基醋酸酯-共聚物、丙烯酸酯橡胶、乙烯-丙烯橡胶(EPDM)的单独或混合物形式。特别优选以聚丁二烯和苯乙烯/丁二烯-共聚物作接枝基质。有冲击韧性的聚苯乙烯中的橡胶含量通常为2-30,优选5-25,特别优选5-20重量%。在接枝聚合中必然会产生共聚物。有冲击韧性的聚苯乙烯的定义因此也包括接枝聚合物和在接枝聚合中产生的共聚物。
细节可参见EP-A 878506。组分C
作为相容性介体本发明优选带极性基团的热塑聚合物。
本发明采用含下列组分的聚合物:C.1 乙烯基芳族单体,C.2 至少一种选自C2-C12-甲基丙烯酸烷基酯、C2-C12-丙烯酸烷基酯、甲基丙烯腈和丙烯腈,和C.3 含二羧酸酐的α-,β-不饱和组分。
作为乙烯基芳族单体C.1特别优选苯乙烯。
对于组分C.2特别优选丙烯腈。
对于含二羧酸酐的α-,β-不饱和组分C.3特别优选马来酸酐。
作为三元共聚物的组分C.1,C.2和C.3宜用上面所列的单体。据此,宜采用苯乙烯、丙烯腈和马来酸酐的三元共聚物。这种三元共聚物特别有助于改善机械性质和抗拉强度和断裂伸长率。三元共聚物中马来酸酐的量可在宽范围内波动,其量宜为0.2-5摩尔%,特别优选的量为0.5-1.5摩尔%。在这个范围内如抗拉强度和断裂伸长率方面能达到特别优良的机械性质。
该三元共聚物可以已知的方法制备。一种适宜的方法是将三元共聚物的单体组分,例如苯乙烯、马来酸酐或丙烯腈溶解在适宜的溶剂中,例如甲基乙基酮(MEK)中。向这种溶液添加一种或几种化学引发剂。例如适宜的引发剂为过氧化物。然后混合物在高温下聚合数小时。接着将溶剂和未转化的单体按照已知的方法分离掉。
三元共聚物中组分C.1(乙烯基芳族单体)和组分C.2丙烯腈单体之间的比例宜为80∶20和50∶50之间。为了改善三聚物和接枝聚合物B的相混性,乙烯基芳族单体C.1的量宜选择与接枝聚合物B中的乙烯基单体B1的量相当。
组分C在本发明聚合掺合物中的量为0.5-50重量%,优选1-30重量%,特别优选2-10重量%。最优选的量为5-7重量%。
EP-A-785234和EP-A-202214报导过这类聚合物。本发明尤其优选EP-A-202214所报导的聚合物。组分D
组分D包括一种或几种热塑乙烯基(共)聚合物D。
适宜作为乙烯基(共)聚合物D的是至少一种选自乙烯基芳族化合物、乙烯基氰化物(不饱和腈)、(甲)丙烯酸-(C1-C8)-烷基酯、不饱和羧酸以及不饱和羧酸的衍生物(酸酐或亚胺)的单体。特别适宜的由下述组分构成的(共)聚合物。D.1 50-99、优选60-80重量份乙烯基芳族化合物和/或核取代的乙烯基芳族化合物如苯乙烯、α-甲基苯乙烯、对-甲基苯乙烯、对-氯苯乙烯)和/或甲基丙烯酸-(C1-C8)-烷基酯如甲基丙烯酸甲酯、甲基丙烯酸乙酯),和D.2 1-50、优选20-40重量份乙烯基氰化物(不饱和腈)如丙烯腈和甲基丙烯腈和/或(甲)丙烯酸-(C1-C8)烷基酯(例如甲基丙烯酸甲酯、丙烯酸正丁酯、丙烯酸叔丁酯)和/或不饱和羧酸(例如马来酸)和/或不饱和羧酸的衍生物(例如酸酐或亚胺,如马来酸酐和N-苯基马来亚胺)。
(共)聚合物D是树脂型、热塑型和无橡胶的。
特别优选的是由D.1苯乙烯和D.2丙烯腈组成的共聚合物。
(共)聚合物D是熟知的,它们可通过自由基聚合,特别是通过乳液聚合、悬浮液聚合、溶液聚合或本体聚合制备。(共)聚合物的分子量Mw(通过光散射和沉淀得出)宜为15000-200000。组分E
本发明的聚合物掺合物能包含普通的添加物,诸如阻燃剂、抗滴下剂、精细的无机化合物、润滑剂和脱模剂、成核剂、抗静电剂、稳定剂,填充剂和增强剂以及着色剂和颜料。
本发明的聚合物掺合物所含的阻燃剂按组合物总量计一般为0.01-20%。作为阻燃剂的实例为有机卤化物如十溴代联苯基醚、四溴代双酚,无机卤化物如溴化铵,氮的化合物如蜜胺、蜜胺甲醛树脂,无机氢氧化物如Mg-Al氢氧化物,无机化合物如氧化铝、二氧化钛、氧化锑、偏硼酸钡、羟基锑酸盐、氧化锆、氢氧化锆、氧化钼、钼酸铵、硼酸锌、硼酸铵和氧化锌以及硅氧烷化合物。
其次,作为阻燃剂化合物可采用磷化合物,如EP-A-363608,EP-A-345522或EP-A-640655所报导的。
可采用的无机化合物包括周期表1-5主族和1-8副族,优选2-5主族和4-8副族,尤其优选3-5主族和4-8副族的一种或几种金属与元素氧、硫、硼、磷、碳、氮、氢和/或硅的化合物。
这类化合物的实例是氧化物、氢氧化物、含水氧化物、硫酸盐、亚硫酸盐、硫化物、碳酸盐、碳化物、硝酸盐、亚硝酸盐、氮化物、硼酸盐、硅酸盐、磷酸盐、氢化物亚磷酸盐或膦酸盐。例如,这里列举的TiN、TiO2、SnO2、WC、ZnO、Al2O3、AlO(OH)、ZrO2、Sb2O3、SiO2、氧化铁、Na2SO4、BaSO4、氧化钒、硼酸锌、硅酸盐如Al-硅酸盐、Mg-硅酸盐、一,二,三元硅酸盐、混合物和掺杂的化合物同样可以采用。此外,这类纳米级颗粒可用有机分子进行表面改性,以达与聚合物的较好的相容性。用这种方式可以产生疏水或亲水的表面。
平均颗粒小于或等于200nm,优选小于等于150nm,尤其优选1-100nm。
粒度和粒径总是指平均粒径d50,它通过超离心测量得到,该法见于W.Scholtan等人,Kolloid-Z.und Z.Polymere(胶体及聚合物杂志),250(1972)782-796页。
无机化合物可以粉末、膏、溶胶、分散体或悬浮体的形式存在,可通过由分散体、溶胶或悬浮体沉淀得到粉末。
粉末可按常规的方式添加到热塑性塑料中,例如通过模塑组合物的组分和细的无机物粉末的直接捏和或挤压。优选的方法是制备母炼胶,例如,在阻燃添加剂、其它添加剂、单体、溶剂、在组分A中或组分B或C的分散体与细的无机材料的分散体、悬浮体、膏或溶胶的共沉淀。
作为填充材料和增强材料可考虑采用例如玻璃纤维,可以是切断的或磨碎的、玻璃珠、玻璃球、絮片状增强材料如高岭土、滑石、云母、硅酸盐、石英、二氧化钛、硅灰石、碳纤维或它们的混合物。优选采用切断的或磨碎的玻璃纤维作增强材料,优选的同时又具有增强作用的填充材料是玻璃球、云母、硅酸盐、石英、滑石、二氧化钛、硅灰石。
本发明的聚合物掺合物可用于制造各种模制品。尤其能通过注模制造模制品。制成的模制品的例子是:各种壳部件,例如家用设备如榨汁机、咖啡器、混合机,办公设备如计算机、打印机、监视器或建筑领域的盖板和汽车工业的部件。
本发明的还涉及本发明的聚合物掺合在制造模制件中的应用以及涉及模制件本身。
该聚合物掺合物尤宜制造对断裂伸长率和抗拉强度有特高要求的模制件。
本发明将用下列实施例进一步阐明:
实施例1.采用的组分
A 聚酰胺(DURETHAN B30,拜尔公司,Leverkusen,德国)
B1 40重量份的比例为73∶27的苯乙烯和丙烯腈的共聚物在60重量份颗粒状交联的聚丁二烯橡胶上的接枝聚合物(平均粒径d50=0.28μm),通过乳液聚合制得

C2 苯乙烯-异丙烯-2-噁唑啉-共聚物,其分子量Mw按GPC测量,基于聚苯乙烯-标准校准约为15.2×104kg/mol(EpocrosRPS-1005,Nippon Shokubai公司,日本)
D 苯乙烯/丙烯腈-共聚物,其中苯乙烯/丙烯腈的比例为72∶28,特性粘度为0.75dl/g(在二甲基甲酰胺中,20℃下测定)
F 添加剂2.聚合物掺合物的制备
本发明的聚合物掺合物的制备是将各组分以已知的方式混合,并在温度为200-300℃,在常规设备如内捏合机、挤压机和双轴螺旋机熔融炼合或熔融挤压,而且氟化的聚烯烃宜以已提到的混凝混合物形式采用。
各个组分的混合可以已知的方式串联或同时进行,既可在20℃左右(室温),又可在升温下进行。3.本体制备的ABS或本体制备的ABS和乳液制备的ABS以及HIPS的混合物

Claims (12)
1.一种聚合物掺合物,含有
A)聚酰胺,
B)通过本体聚合、溶液聚合、或本体-悬浮体-聚合方法制备的接枝聚合物,该聚合物由
B1)50-99重量%的一种或几种乙烯基单体在
B2)50-1重量%的一种或几种其玻璃转化温度<10℃接枝基质
上,或有冲击轫性的聚苯乙烯上构成,
C)至少一种相容性介体,它含至少一种带极性基团的聚合物,有时还有
D)至少一种乙烯基(共)聚合物。
2.权利要求1的聚合物掺合物,其特征在于,它含有10-98重量份的聚酰胺、0.5-80重量份的组分B的混合物,并可能有D,以及0.5-50重量份的组分C。
3.权利要求1的聚合物掺合物,其特征在于,它含15-70重量份的聚酰胺、10-70重量分的组分B的混合物,有时含D,以及1-30重量份的组分C。
4.权利要求1的聚合物掺合物,其特征在于,它含20-60重量份的聚酰胺、20-65重量份的组分B的混合物,有时含D,以及2-10重量份的组分C。
5.上述权利要求之一的聚合物掺合物,其中乙烯基单体B.1是由下列构成的混合物:
B.1.1 苯乙烯、α-甲基苯乙烯、卤素取代-或烷基核取代的苯乙烯和/或(甲)丙烯酸-C1-C8-烷基酯和
B.1.2 不饱和腈、(甲)丙烯酸-C1-C8-烷基酯和/或不饱和羧酸的衍生物。
6.上述权利要求之一的聚合物掺合物,其特征在于,组分C至少含一种选自C2-C12-烷基(甲)丙烯酸酯、甲基丙烯腈和丙烯腈的乙烯基芳族单体(C.1)以及是含二羧酸酐的α,β-不饱和组分(C.2)。
7.上述权利要求之一的聚合物掺合物,其中组分D是至少一种选自乙烯基芳族化合物、乙烯基氰化物、(甲)丙烯酸-(C1-C8)烷基-酯、不饱和羧酸以及不饱和羧酸的衍生物的单体的乙烯基(共)聚合物。
8.上述权利要求之一的聚合物掺合物,该掺合物含至少一种选自润滑剂和脱模剂、成核剂、抗静电剂、稳定剂、着色剂和颜料的添加剂。
9.上述权利要求之一的聚合物掺合物,该掺合物含阻燃剂。
10.上述权利要求之一的聚合物掺合物在制造模塑制品方面的应用。
11.一种含权利要求1-9之一的聚合物掺合物的模塑制品。
12.一种含权利要求1-9之一聚合物掺合物的壳件、盖板和汽车工业的部件。
