背景技术
代表性光纤电信系统和网络包括一或多个电信数据中心和/或中心局。接合各种类型的网络设备的大量光纤和电缆连接可位于所述设施中。代表性的系统还包括将系统延伸到网络中的许多边远站点。

在图1中的光纤设备10(1)的实例中，两个光纤设备托盘22由光纤设备托架20支撑，其中每一光纤设备托盘22支撑四个（4）光纤模块26。每一光纤模块26支持十二个（12）光纤连接。因此，可由光纤设备托架20提供总数高达九十六个（96）的光纤连接，但光纤设备托架20不受所述密度的限制。
因为托架20不受九十六个（96）光纤连接的限制，所以可在对额外光纤容量的需求增加时随着时间添加更多的光纤连接。添加额外光纤连接的先决条件是，为可进入和退出光纤壳体12(1)的额外光纤电缆提供充足的应变消除。否则，在没有充足的应变消除的情况下，可发生光纤损害和/或信号衰减。可随着后壳体部分28(1)的附接将额外应变消除添加到光纤壳体12(1)。后壳体部分28(1)的其他实例也可用于针对特定光纤网络要求定制光纤壳体12(1)。

附接机构，所述附接机构从所述后壳体部分延伸，所述附接机构配置为将所述后壳体部分可拆卸地附接到所述光纤壳体，其中所述附接机构包含至少一个弹簧柱塞，所述至少一个弹簧柱塞配置为将所述后壳体部分可释放地维持在一位置以允许紧固件将所述后壳体部分可拆卸地附接到所述光纤壳体，且其中所述壳体在所述后壳体部分可拆卸地附接到所述壳体前维持所述壳体所占用的安装的U空间。
2.如权利要求1所述的光纤设备组件，其中所述附接机构包含法兰，且所述弹簧柱塞延伸穿过所述法兰。
3.如权利要求2所述的光纤设备组件，其中所述法兰包含用于接收所述紧固件的紧固件孔。
4.如权利要求1所述的光纤设备组件，其中所述附接机构插入所述壳体的侧壁内。
5.如权利要求1所述的光纤设备组件，其中所述后壳体部分包含实质上平坦的矩形板。
6.如权利要求5所述的光纤设备组件，其中所述板包含两个大侧面和两个小侧面。
7.如权利要求6所述的光纤设备组件，其中所述附接机构附接到所述大侧面中的一个侧面的相对角落并从所述相对角落延伸。
8.如权利要求5所述的光纤设备组件，所述组件进一步包含至少一个主体板，所述至少一个主体板包括定位在所述实质上平坦的矩形板上的应变消除接收器。
9.如权利要求8所述的光纤设备组件，其中所述应变消除接收器配置为接收一或多个绑线扣和电缆夹，所述一或多个绑线扣和电缆夹用于将光纤电缆附接到所述主体板。
10.一种用于将壳体部分添加到光纤壳体的方法，所述方法包含以下步骤：
提供包括附接机构的可拆卸后壳体部分，所述附接机构包含具有紧固件孔和弹簧柱塞的法兰；
通过将所述法兰插入所述光纤壳体的侧壁内来将所述后壳体部分装配到所述光纤壳体；
在所述法兰在所述侧壁内移动时收缩所述弹簧柱塞；及
当所述法兰到达所述弹簧柱塞与弹簧柱塞孔对齐的位置时，将所述弹簧柱塞延伸到所述弹簧柱塞孔中，其中所述壳体在所述后壳体部分装配到所述壳体前维持所述壳体所占用的安装的U空间。
