Description

本発明は、光ファーバケーブル同士の接続、光ファーバケーブルからの光ファイバテープ心線あるいは光ファイバ単心線への分岐、および、光ファイバ心線同士の接続、などを行う光ファイバ接続箱に関する。
大容量の光通信網を備えた施設においては、光ファイバ接続分岐機構を内装した複数のトレイを、スライドレール機構を介して引出し式に出し入れ可能に格納ケースに差込み装着してある光ファイバ接続箱が利用されている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。

従来の光ファイバ接続箱においては、トレイがスライドレール機構を介して単に引出し式に出し入れ可能に格納ケースに差込み装着されており、小さな力が付与されただけでトレイは勢いよく移動してしまう。これにより、トレイを作業用開放位置に引き出して接続作業を行っている際に、不用意に押し込み方向に外力がかかるとトレイは勢いよく移動してしまい、これによって光ファイバ心線が格納ケースとトレイとの間に挟まって断心するおそれがある。そのため、光ファイバの接続作業に細心の注意を払う必要がある上に、トレイの移動にも気を配りながら作業を行わねばならず、作業中の気苦労が大きいものとなっている。
上記課題を解決するために、本発明は以下のように構成した。
本発明の特徴構成は、光ファイバ接続分岐機構を内装した複数のトレイが、スライドレール機構を介して出し入れ可能に格納ケースに差込み装着された光ファイバ接続箱であって
スライド抵抗をもって複数段に伸縮する伸縮棒を前記格納ケースと前記トレイとに亘って架設して、前記トレイを引出した作業用開放位置と前記トレイを格納した格納位置との間で移動可能とした。
この構成によると、トレイを作業用開放位置まで引出して接続作業を行っている際に、不用意にトレイに押し戻し方向の外力をかけてしまっても、その外力が小さければトレイは動くことがなく、また、多少大きい外力がかかって押し戻されたとしても、格納位置にまで一気に戻されてしまうようなことはない。
作業終了後は、意識的に少し強くトレイを押し戻すことで、トレイを格納位置にまで移動させることができる。ただし、トレイにかける抵抗が大き過ぎると、抵抗に打ち勝つ押し戻し力で勢いよく移動させてしまって衝撃的に格納してしまうことになるので、適度な抵抗の設定が必要となる。
ここで、スライド抵抗をもって複数段に伸縮する伸縮棒を格納ケースとトレイとに亘って架設すると、トレイの引出し移動および押し戻し移動のいずれにも常に適度の抵抗をかけることができ、大きく引き出した作業用開放位置での不用意な押し込み移動を阻止する上記機能の他に、トレイを任意の引出し位置で安定保持しておく機能を発揮させることができる。
[発明の効果]
このように、本発明によれば、トレイを作業用開放位置に引き出して接続作業を行っている際に、不用意に押し込み方向に外力がかかっても、トレイが軽く移動してしまって、光ファイバ心線を格納ケースとトレイとの間に挟んで断心させてしまうおそれがなくなる。従って、作業者は、トレイの不用意な移動に特に気を付ける必要はなく、接続作業に専念することができる。
以下、本発明の実施例を図面に基づいて説明する。
図1に、本発明に係る光ファイバ接続箱の全体外観が、また、図2に、その側面図がそれぞれ示される。
この光ファイバ接続箱は、前面が観音開き式の扉2で開閉される縦長箱状に構成された格納ケース1の内部にラック3が組み付けられ、このラック3に多数のトレイ4が引き出し式に出し入れ可能に差込装着された構造となっている。
格納ケース1は、例えば高さ1400〜2000mm、幅750mm、奥行き300mm程度に構成される。トレイ4は、高さ60mm、幅500mm、奥行き250mm程度のものが複数段(例えば、25段)装着されており、各トレイ4の内部には、光コネクタ接続用のアダプタ5、などの光ファイバ接続分岐機構6が組付けられており、1台のトレイ4が、多数心数の光ファイバー心線の接続分岐を行うユニットとして構成されている。
トレイ4は、ラック3の各段ごとに左右一対づつ装着された伸縮式のスライドレール機構7の先端部に取り付けられており、ラック3の内方に深く押し込められた格納位置(a)と、トレイ4全体が格納位置(a)から前方に大きく突出する作業用開放位置(b)とに亘ってスライド移動可能に支持されている。
そして、このスライドレール機構7をラック3に取り付ける基材7aとトレイ4とに亘って片方または左右一対の伸縮棒8が架設されている。この伸縮棒8は、自動車の伸縮式アンテナや講演などに用いる伸縮式の指し棒、などと同様に適度なスライド抵抗をもって複数段(この例では4段)に伸縮するものであり、この伸縮棒8のスライド抵抗によって、トレイ4の移動ストロークの全域において、その移動に適度の抵抗が付与されるようになっている。
ここで、伸縮棒8のスライド抵抗は、作業用開放位置に引き出されたトレイ4に押し込み方向の外力が多少かかっても、トレイ4が軽く押し込み移動されてしまうことがなく、かつ、作業者による格納移動が苦にならない適当な大きさに設定されている。
トレイ4に押し込み抵抗を付与する抵抗手段は、以下のような形態で実施することもできる。
(1)トレイ4が作業用開放位置に引き出される際にトレイ4の側面部に圧接されて弾性変形するゴム、フェルトなどの摩擦抵抗部材をラック側に備えておくことで、作業用開放位置のトレイ4が不用意に押し込み移動されることを防止できる。
(2)逆に、トレイ4が作業用開放位置に引き出される際にラック3の一部に圧接されて弾性変形するゴム、フェルト、などの摩擦抵抗部材をトレイ4側に備えておくことでも、作業用開放位置のトレイ4が不用意に押し込み移動されることを防止できる。
(3)トレイ4が作業用開放位置に引き出される際にトレイ4の側面部に弾性係合される板バネ等からなる弾性係合部材をラック側に備えておくことで、作業用開放位置のトレイ4が不用意に押し込み移動されることを防止できる。
(4)逆に、トレイ4が作業用開放位置に引き出される際にラック3の一部に弾性係合される板バネ等からなる弾性係合部材をトレイ4側に備えておくことでも、作業用開放位置のトレイ4が不用意に押し込み移動されることを防止できる。

Claims (1)

  1. 光ファイバ接続分岐機構を内装した複数のトレイが、スライドレール機構を介して出し入れ可能に格納ケースに差込み装着された光ファイバ接続箱であって、
    スライド抵抗をもって複数段に伸縮する伸縮棒を前記格納ケースと前記トレイとに亘って架設して、前記トレイを引出した作業用開放位置と前記トレイを格納した格納位置との間で移動可能とした、ことを特徴とする光ファイバ接続箱。
