技术领域
本发明大体涉及共享信息。更具体来说,本发明涉及方向感知性(direction-conscious)信息共享。
背景技术
能够通过多种类型连接(例如,小区、蓝牙(Bluetooth)、因特网)进行通信的电子装置正变得越来越普遍。这样的装置的实例可包括移动电话、智能电话、个人数字助理(PDA)、便携式计算装置、便携式电子邮件装置和手持型游戏装置。尽管这些装置的连接性已得到增加,但从一个装置到另一装置传送文件的过程仍然低效且复杂。
当前可用的使用移动装置共享数字信息的方法包括发电子邮件、文本消息传递和实时消息传递。这样的方法通常需要输入或参考电子邮件地址、电话号码或其它唯一识别符。用于共享信息的其它方法可包括使用物理(例如,有线)、红外线、蓝牙或其它类型的连接。这样的连接可能需要专门的设备或验证协议,且可能因此对于自发使用或与其它活动同时使用来说不方便且繁杂。
共享信息的另一方式允许用户使用已与另一装置联网的装置上的浏览器或菜单查找文件的目的地。接着可用鼠标使用“拖放”操作或使用一系列键盘命令、选自菜单的命令、触摸命令或另一类型的命令来传输所述文件。这样的文件传输通常需要配置、验证及以其它方式设置每一装置以便彼此通信。
另一选项可为使用“碰撞”(bump)方法来在彼此碰撞的两个装置之间交换联系人信息。碰撞依赖于以下能力:检测彼此非常接近的两个装置的碰撞移动、识别(identify)每一装置,和在所述装置之间交换信息。然而,这样的解决方案限于具有加速计以检测移动的装置、彼此非常接近以能够碰撞的用户,和邻近区域中没有其它人正碰撞其装置的情形。在一个或多个用户正致力于执行需要很大注意力的其它任务的情况下(例如,在玩游戏期间),需要碰撞的物理动作也可能是困难的。另外,碰撞可能进一步需要用户先前已经用要被共享的信息填写了联系人卡片。尽管预先填写对于仅极少改变的信息(例如,联系人信息)是有用的,但其对于发送对时间敏感的信息和在忙碌中发送信息是不方便的。

发明内容
本发明的实施例提供方向感知性信息共享。接收指定要被共享的信息和相对于发送装置的方向的用户输入。识别位于相对于发送装置的所指定方向上的目标区域中的接收装置。将所指定的信息发送到所识别的接收装置。接收装置另外接收指示发送装置相对于接收装置的方向的通知。
本发明的进一步实施方案包括方向感知性信息共享的方法。这样的方法可包括接收指定将被共享的信息和相对于发送装置的方向的用户输入、识别位于相对于发送装置的所指定方向上的目标区域中的接收装置,和将所指定的信息发送到所识别的接收装置。接收装置可接收指示发送装置相对于接收装置的方向的通知。可基于由罗盘和/或GPS芯片提供的信息来确定所述方向。
在一些情况下,可能存在可接收所指定信息的多个装置。因而,可以基于例如以下因素识别接收方:对准、接近性、共同网络、共同游戏会话、存在于包括或排除列表上、发送方选择,或先前通信。

本发明的实施例提供方向感知性信息共享的系统和方法。接收指定将被共享的信息和相对于发送装置的方向的用户输入。将接收装置识别为位于相对于发送装置的所指定方向上的目标区域中。将所指定的信息发送到所识别的接收装置,所述信息包括用以允许接收装置产生通知的数据,所述通知指示发送装置相对于接收装置的方向。

运动传感器110可基于用于跟踪装置100的位置和/或定向的任何适当工具来检测由用户导致的装置100的运动。运动传感器110可并有例如惯性传感器(例如,加速计、倾斜传感器)、声传感器(例如,声源和麦克风阵列)或光学传感器(例如,摄像机)。在运动传感器110使用例如6轴加速计的情况下,可以通过获得对应于沿垂直x轴、y轴和z轴的平移加速和绕这些轴中的每一个的旋转的指示符来跟踪装置100的运动。加速信号可进一步加以积分,一次积分用来确定速度的变化,二次积分用来确定位移。
装置检测器112允许检测在装置100附近的一个或多个其它装置。装置检测可以基于视觉检测,其中装置100与处于合理地紧密接近范围内的另一装置之间的视线不被阻挡。装置检测也可以基于与另一装置相关联且传达到装置100的唯一识别符(identifier)。装置检测器112可包括用于读取另一装置的唯一射频识别(RFID)标签(identificationtag)的RFID读取器、用于读取另一装置的唯一条形码的条形码读取器,或使得能够在视觉上辨识另一装置或另一装置的标记的摄影机。在一些情况下,所述另一装置可经由无线通信链路传达识别符。所述识别符可专门针对特定应用或网络(例如,游戏或游戏网络),且进一步与虚拟形象相关联。这样的识别符可由其它装置常规地提供或响应于从装置100发送的查询而提供。
在一些情况下,由装置检测器112收集到的信息可用以产生与装置100邻近的其它装置的地图。这种地图可显示在装置100的显示器104上。在其它装置将包括虚拟形象信息的识别符发送到装置100的情况下,所述地图可并有这些虚拟形象以指示相关联装置的相对位置。
接口108、运动传感器110和/或装置检测器112的一些功能可共享或联合操作。例如,基于红外线的收发器可用以感测运动,以及提供通信链路。类似地,摄影机可由运动传感器110和装置检测器112两者用以跟踪外壳的运动并识别远程装置。
装置100还可包括本领域中所熟知的其它部件,诸如处理器114、输入/输出(I/O)元件116、电源118、时钟120、罗盘(或磁力计)122、GPS芯片124、高速缓冲存储器126、大容量存储装置128和存储器130。处理器114可用以执行程序、例行程序和指令以执行各种功能。在一些实施例中,装置100可包括并行操作的多个处理器114。作为实例,装置100可被配置来用作游戏装置、电话、便携式媒体播放器、电子邮件装置或网页浏览器装置。
取决于装置100的类型,输入/输出元件116可包括键盘、小键盘、触摸板、按钮、鼠标、轨迹球或操纵杆。输入/输出元件116可进一步包括手势辨识工具,所述手势辨识工具可进一步结合显示器104(例如,触摸屏)和/或运动传感器110而操作。这些手势辨识工具可用以辨识例如由用户在显示器104上进行的轻击、划过或拖曳指示对图标(例如,图标106)的选择和用户希望图标移动的方向。手势辨识(gesturerecognition)还可使用由装置100的用户提供的样本运动数据。可从这种样本运动数据确定与运动的速度、压力和移动区域有关的基线值。可在预定数目个样本上计算变化。可基于从基线值的这些变化来计算用于辨识特定手势的阈值。
图2A说明用于方向感知性信息共享的方法的示例性实施。在图2A中,说明四个装置210A至210D。希望与另一装置(例如,接收装置210B)共享信息的一个装置(例如,发送装置210A)的用户可选择表示此信息的图标,且在接收装置210B的方向上执行定向手势(例如,轻击或划过)。在图2A的说明中,图标展示于发送装置210A的显示器上。提供箭头以指示示例性手势的方向。当检测到定向手势时,可以也可以不在发送装置210A的显示器104中产生箭头的图形显示。
目标区域220可在所述定向手势的方向上相对于发送装置210A加以界定。目标区域220可进一步界定为处于与发送装置210A的特定接近性范围内。所述接近性可与定向手势的速度(或其它特性)相关,使得快速手势可比慢速手势产生更大目标区域。虽然图2A中所说明的目标区域220涵盖仅一个装置(接收装置210B),但有可能目标区域220涵盖多个装置。
在目标区域220涵盖多个装置的情况下,可考虑额外因素来识别所希望的接收装置。这些因素可包括与所指定方向的对准、包括或排除于由发送装置210A的用户界定的列表(例如,朋友列表)、从装置检测器112所产生的地图中选择、共享的网络连接、共享的游戏会话、先前通信,和对装置能够接收所指定的信息的确认。在不能以任何确定性将潜在接收方减少到一个的一些情况下,可从发送方请求额外确认。
在一些情况下,潜在的接收装置中的一个可能正在移动。因而,在用户发起定向手势时最初处于所界定目标区域220中的装置可能在所述手势完成时移出目标区域220。因此,在确定可能的接收装置在移动的情况下,可重新界定目标区域220以涵盖正移动的装置可能所在的区域。可基于新位置(例如,GPS)信息判定新位置,或基于先前位置信息估计(例如,推测(deadreckoning))新位置。
移动的一个结果是,发送装置210A与所希望的接收装置210B之间的视线可能被挡住或以其它方式被阻挡。在这样的情况下,某些形式的通信可能变得困难或不可能。因而,发送方可能希望允许通过可与所希望的接收装置210B通信的中间装置或同等装置来进行传输。
一旦识别到接收装置210B,即可将信息包发送到所识别的接收装置210B。所述包可包括关于所指定信息的传输以及所指定信息本身或到所指定信息的链接的通知。另外,所述包可进一步包括表示所指定信息的图标106、发送装置210A的识别符和发送所述包的方向(例如,发送装置210A相对于接收装置210B的方向)。在图2A的说明中,接收装置210B的显示器包括表示信息包的图标和指示所述包所来自的方向的箭头。接收装置210B的显示器可进一步包括图标从适当方向飞入的动画表示。
图2B说明用于方向感知性信息共享的方法的替代实施。如关于图2A所提及,接收装置210B所接收的信息包包括发送所述包的方向的指示。确定方向的一个方式包括使用每一装置(例如,发送装置210A和接收装置210B)中的罗盘122来识别哪一方向为北方,由此使得能够确定每一装置相对于北方的定向(orientation)。虽然本文为简单起见而将定向判定描述为相对于指向北方的矢量进行计算,但也可以相对于其它方向确定定向。

在步骤340中,识别接收装置210B。如果目标区域220仅包括一个装置,且发送装置210A未表达关于接收装置210B的身份的任何偏好或条件,那么可能易于识别接收装置210B。然而,在存在多个装置的情况下,或在存在若干条件的情况下,可考虑额外因素,包括对准、接近性、共同网络、共同游戏会话、存在于包括或排除列表上、发送方选择或先前通信。

Claims (36)
1.一种方向感知性信息共享方法,所述方法包括:
在发送装置处接收用户输入,所述用户输入指定将被共享的信息和相对于所述发送装置的方向;
执行存储于存储器中的指令,其中处理器对所述指令的执行识别位于目标区域中的接收装置,所述目标区域是基于相对于所述发送装置的所述指定方向而界定;以及
将所述指定的信息发送到所述接收装置,所述指定的信息包括用以允许所述接收装置产生通知的数据,所述通知指示所述发送装置相对于所述接收装置的方向,其中指示所述发送装置相对于所述接收装置的方向包括:
界定从所述发送装置指出的矢量与从所述发送装置指向所述接收装置的矢量之间的第一角度,
界定从所述接收装置指出的矢量与指向所述接收装置所定向的方向的矢量之间的第二角度,
通过从180°减去所述第一角度并加上所述第二角度来确定第三角度,以及
基于从指向所述接收装置所定向的所述方向的所述矢量测量所述第三角度来确定所述发送装置相对于所述接收装置的所述方向。

8.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述发送装置变得不能将所述指定信息直接发送到所述接收装置且其中将所述指定信息发送到所述识别的接收装置包括将所指示的信息发送到中间装置,其中所述中间装置定位所述接收装置且将所述指定信息转发到所述接收装置。
9.如权利要求1所述的方法,其进一步包括确定多个装置邻近于所述发送装置,其中识别所述接收装置包括从所述多个装置中选择所述接收装置。
10.如权利要求9所述的方法,其中选择所述接收装置是基于相对于所述发送装置的与所述指定方向对准的所述接收装置的位置。
11.如权利要求9所述的方法,其中选择所述接收装置是基于包括于由所述发送装置所限定的列表中或排除于所述列表之外。
12.如权利要求9所述的方法,其进一步包括:
产生包含表示所述多个装置中的每一个的虚拟形象的显示;以及
接收来自所述发送装置的选择,所述选择指示与所述接收装置相关联的虚拟形象。
13.如权利要求9所述的方法,其中接收选择包括:
接收来自所述发送装置的不确定的选择;
基于所述不确定的选择确定潜在目标,
修改显示以指示所述潜在目标,以及
从所述发送装置接收所述潜在目标为所选择的接收装置的确认。
14.一种用于方向感知性信息共享的装置,所述装置包含:
存储器,其用于存储可与其它装置共享的信息;
接口,其用于接收用户输入,其中所述用户输入指定将被共享的信息和相对于所述装置的方向;以及
处理器,其用于执行存储在存储器中的指令,其中所述处理器对所述指令的执行识别位于目标区域中的接收装置,所述目标区域基于相对于所述装置的所述指定方向而界定,其中所述指定信息被发送到所述接收装置,所述指定信息包括用以允许所述接收装置产生通知的数据,所述通知指示发送装置相对于所述接收装置的方向,其中指示所述发送装置相对于所述接收装置的方向包括:
界定从所述发送装置指出的矢量与从所述发送装置指向所述接收装置的矢量之间的第一角度,
界定从所述接收装置指出的矢量与指向所述接收装置所定向的方向的矢量之间的第二角度,
通过从180°减去所述第一角度并加上所述第二角度来确定第三角度,以及
基于从指向所述接收装置所定向的所述方向的所述矢量测量所述第三角度来确定所述发送装置相对于所述接收装置的所述方向。
15.如权利要求14所述的装置,其进一步包含用于确定所述装置的定向的磁力计。
16.如权利要求14所述的装置,其进一步包含用于确定所述装置的位置的GPS芯片。
17.如权利要求14所述的装置,其中所述接口接收来自另一装置的信息,且所述装置进一步包含显示屏,所述显示屏用于显示关于所述接收的信息和所述另一装置相对于所述装置的方向的通知。
18.如权利要求14所述的装置,其中所述用户已指定显示所述通知的条件,且所述条件包括所述装置具有相对于所述其它装置的指定定向。
19.一种方向感知性信息共享方法,所述方法包括:
在发送装置处接收用户输入,所述用户输入指定将被共享的信息和相对于所述发送装置的方向;
执行存储于存储器中的指令,其中处理器对所述指令的执行识别位于目标区域中的接收装置,所述目标区域是基于相对于所述发送装置的所述指定方向而界定;以及
将所述指定的信息发送到所述接收装置,所述指定的信息包括用以允许所述接收装置产生通知的数据,所述通知指示所述发送装置相对于所述接收装置的方向,其中指示所述发送装置相对于所述接收装置的方向包括:
在存储器中维持所述发送装置的位置和所述接收装置的位置,
界定从所述发送装置的所述位置到所述接收装置的所述位置的第一矢量,
将第二矢量界定为从所述发送装置的所述位置指出,
计算所述第一矢量与所述第二矢量的点积,以及
基于取所述点积的反余弦来确定所述发送装置相对于所述接收装置的所述方向。
20.如权利要求19所述的方法,其中所述数据还包括用于产生用于识别所述发送装置的通知的信息。
21.如权利要求19所述的方法,其中识别所述目标区域中的所述接收装置包括:
最初确定所述接收装置近期已移出在相对于所述发送装置的所述指定方向上的所述目标区域,以及
确定移动的所述接收装置可能所在的区域,其中重新界定所述目标区域以涵盖所述接收装置可能所在的所述区域。
22.如权利要求19所述的方法,其中进一步基于与所述发送装置的共享的网络连接来识别所述接收装置。
23.如权利要求19所述的方法,其中进一步基于与所述发送装置的共享的会话来识别所述接收装置。
24.如权利要求19所述的方法,其中进一步基于与所述发送装置的先前通信来识别所述接收装置。
25.如权利要求19所述的方法,其中进一步基于指示所述接收装置在所述目标区域中的位置的GPS信息来识别所述接收装置。
26.如权利要求19所述的方法,其中所述发送装置变得不能将所述指定信息直接发送到所述接收装置且其中将所述指定信息发送到所述识别的接收装置包括将所指示的信息发送到中间装置,其中所述中间装置定位所述接收装置且将所述指定信息转发到所述接收装置。
27.如权利要求19所述的方法,其进一步包括确定多个装置邻近于所述发送装置,其中识别所述接收装置包括从所述多个装置中选择所述接收装置。
28.如权利要求27所述的方法,其中选择所述接收装置是基于相对于所述发送装置的与所述指定方向对准的所述接收装置的位置。
29.如权利要求27所述的方法,其中选择所述接收装置是基于包括于由所述发送装置所限定的列表中或排除于所述列表之外。
30.如权利要求27所述的方法,其进一步包括:
产生包含表示所述多个装置中的每一个的虚拟形象的显示;以及
接收来自所述发送装置的选择,所述选择指示与所述接收装置相关联的虚拟形象。
31.如权利要求27所述的方法,其中接收选择包括:
接收来自所述发送装置的不确定的选择;
基于所述不确定的选择确定潜在目标,
修改显示以指示所述潜在目标,以及
从所述发送装置接收所述潜在目标为所选择的接收装置的确认。
32.一种用于方向感知性信息共享的装置,所述装置包含:
存储器,其用于存储可与其它装置共享的信息;
接口,其用于接收用户输入,其中所述用户输入指定将被共享的信息和相对于所述装置的方向;以及
处理器,其用于执行存储在存储器中的指令,其中所述处理器对所述指令的执行识别位于目标区域中的接收装置,所述目标区域基于相对于所述装置的所述指定方向而界定,其中所述指定信息被发送到所述接收装置,所述指定信息包括用以允许所述接收装置产生通知的数据,所述通知指示发送装置相对于所述接收装置的方向,其中指示所述发送装置相对于所述接收装置的方向包括:
在存储器中维持所述发送装置的位置和所述接收装置的位置,
界定从所述发送装置的所述位置到所述接收装置的所述位置的第一矢量,
将第二矢量界定为从所述发送装置的所述位置指出,
计算所述第一矢量与所述第二矢量的点积,以及
基于取所述点积的反余弦来确定所述发送装置相对于所述接收装置的所述方向。
33.如权利要求32所述的装置,其进一步包含用于确定所述装置的定向的磁力计。
34.如权利要求32所述的装置,其进一步包含用于确定所述装置的位置的GPS芯片。
35.如权利要求32所述的装置,其中所述接口接收来自另一装置的信息,且所述装置进一步包含显示屏,所述显示屏用于显示关于所述接收的信息和所述另一装置相对于所述装置的方向的通知。
36.如权利要求32所述的装置,其中所述用户已指定显示所述通知的条件,且所述条件包括所述装置具有相对于所述其它装置的指定定向。
