En pleine marche, et pour une voiture automobile par exemple, dans une descente ou en palier, quand le véhicule est lancé, ily a avantageii, appauvrirle mélange gazeux. A cet effet, le conducteur appuie Lin peu plus sur la pMale commandant les positions du papillonIl; la pièce18 reliéeà cettepé- dale est entraînée par elle et vient, par l'in termédiaire du taquet19, heurter le bras 20 solidaire de Paxe 10 ; le papillonIl reste dans la position du plein gaz, et le bras 12 repousse la tige13;
Carburetor for explosion engines. The present invention relates to a carburetor for explosion engines. This carburetor is characterized in that, in the channel connecting the jets to the vessel to < / B> constant level, is arranged a shutter member which can be closed more or less when one wants to deplete, in fuel, the gas mixture, it is characterized, in addition, in that one of the nozzles at least is pierced with holes in stages along its length and communicating, with the atmosphere, its fuel duct, so that, the larger the engine's suction,
the more the number of these holes opened by the sucked fuel increases.
The accompanying drawing represents, by by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention and a variant thereof.
Fig. 1 is an elevation view of the execution form; fig. 2 is a vertical sectional view] on itudinale, FIG. 3 9 1 is a transverse vertical sectional view; fig. 4 is a view relating to a detail and FIG. 5 refers to a modification of this detail; fig. 6 represents the variant.
The vessel at constant level 1 is placed in communication with pipe 2 supplying the jets 23, 25 and 27 via a tube 3 communicating with 1 through the inlet port 4 and, with 2 through the self-tic port 5. In the tube 3 is placed a hollow rod 6 which a spring 7 constantly stretches ii, </ B > lift to move its conical end 8 away from the outlet port 5 (fig. 3). The end 8 < / B> is pierced with a hole 9,
of a restricted diameter compared to to that of the pipe 5.
From the axis 10 around which the pin 11 rotates is a small arm of lever 12 which, through a grout rod - jumps 13, from lever 14, rotatably mounted in 15, and from another sliding rod 16, can act on the rod 6 by means of the 17 finger on the 16. rod
In full gear, and for a motor car for example, on a or level descent, when the vehicle is started, there is there advantage ii, </ B> deplete the gas mixture. A this effect, the driver presses Lin a little more on the pMale controlling the throttle positions Il; the part 18 connected to < / B> this foot dale is driven by it and comes, through the stopper 19, to strike the arm 20 integral with the axle 10; < / B> the butterfly It remains in the full throttle position, and the arm 12 pushes back the rod 13;
the lever 14 sorrel and lowers the rod 16, and the finger 17, pressing the rod 6, applies the end conical 8 on the orifice of the pipe 5. The orifice of gasoline passage is thereby reduced and the gas mixture is depleted.
In fig. 5, the part 18 acts on the axis 10 by means of an elastic device interposed between the lug 19 fixed to part 18 and pin 20 fixed to axis 10.
The lever 14, by oscillating, actuates a circular flap 21 which modifies the air inlet at 22.
There are three nozzles in the example shown. The jet 23, for idling, corresponds port 24 of the nut; the nozzle 25, which for medium speed is added to nozzle 23, corresponds to light 26; finally, the jet 27, which for high speed is added to the two preceding ones, corresponds to the full orifice of the caiial28 'going to the engine.
The pillon 11, provided with a heel 28 capable of blocking the light 26, regulates the effects of the suction of the motor according to the position it occupies in the nut - the position shown in fig. 2 is that of medium speed, ports 24 and 26 being alone in communication with channel 28 '. For operation to full throttle, the 11 throttle is placed longitudinally with respect to the 28 'channel.
The 25 and 27 jets have the feature that 29 holes are staggered over the height of the nozzle < B> 30. These holes are in communication with an annular chimney 29 ', itself in communication with the outside air through holes 29 " in the upper part of this chimney, a little below the center of de- pressure. Under these conditions, the greater the depression, the lower the fuel level in the nozzle 30 and more a large number of holes 29 are discovered.
Through the 29 " holes and through the 29 'chimney, a greater quantity of air, admitted through the open 29 holes, mixes then to the gasoline sucked into the jetting channels 29, hence a complete gasification of the gasoline proportional to to the depression . The 38 hole in the lower parts 39 regulates the fuel flow of each of the jets 25, 27. The sum of the sections of the holes 29 is a little larger than the section of the hole 38 of the parts 39.
In many existing carburettors, leaks out of the vessel at constant level, when the engine is stopped. To prevent these leaks, a device has been devised which allows the vessel needle to be closed at constant level when the engine is stopped.
The rod 31 of the needle carries at its upper extremity a groove 32 in which is engaged Pergot 33 of an eccentric 34 mil with using a knurled knob 85. The height of the throat 32 allows to place Vergot 33 in a position such that it has no influence on the needle, which will operate under normal conditions while the engine is running. A stopping, it suffices to impart a movement of rotation to the eccentric 34 in the appropriate direction and the lug 33, lowering the rod 31,
applies the needle 36 to its seat 37.
To release the needle M, prior to starting the engine, turn the knob 35 in the opposite direction; the lug 33 comes free in the groove 32 and the needle is capable of the back and forth movement necessary for the operation of the carburetor.
To facilitate the start-up, the eccentric movement can be produced in the opposite direction, so to cause the fuel level to rise in the vessel 1 </ B > and, consequently, in the jets.
A spring, represented by a blade 38 articulated in 39, maintains the cover 40 of the vase 1 on the box 41 in which the eccentric turns 34 and which is screwed on the cover 40.
To facilitate the cold start, ie to warm the walls of the engine cylinders after an interruption in operation for a certain period of time, the device shown in fig. 6.
In the vicinity of the vessel at constant level a is established a well b in communication with said vessel through a lower orifice c. In the well b extends a rod d provided with a needle that a spring e constantly tends to to apply on its seat to interrupt the communication between the well and the constant level vessel.
The well b is also called communication through a hole f with a vertical channel g which itself communicates with the idle gas outlet h .
A nozzle is arranged in i so il, allow the passage of gasoline for a determined time corresponding to I complete heating of the cylinder walls.
To start the engine when cold , a button j screwed to the upper end of the needle-stick cl </ B > allows to lift it by temporarily stopping I action says spring c. The needle lets in to </ B > the interior of the well through the orifice c the es-, said vessel at constant level.
The gasoline which tends to to settle level in the well b also enters the channel g through hole J 'and through the nozzle i. If we act at this moment on the starting crank or equivalent device, the nozzle i gives passage to gasoline for the necessary time to the heating of the cylinder walls. This result being achieved, the device ceases all operation.
Instead of having to act directly on the button j of the rod d to lift it, a fork has another ni # --chanic device, can be used to allow to operate the needle rod at distance.
The two means can even be employed in the same device depending on the position occupied by the driver of the vehicle when he climbs or ensures the cold start.
