Definitions

  • the present invention relates to aerogel, aerogel composite and its application as an insulating material.
  • Aerogel is an ultraporous, high-surface-area material ( ⁇ 500 m 2 /g) with a porosity of approximately 90.0% to 99.9% and a pore size ranging from 1 nm to 100 nm. It possesses excellent properties such as ultra-lightness, ultra-insulation, and ultra-low dielectric constant. Accordingly, active research is being conducted on the development of aerogel materials as well as on their application as transparent and environmentally friendly high-temperature insulators, ultra-low-dielectric thin films for highly integrated devices, catalysts and catalyst carriers, electrodes for supercapacitors, and electrode materials for seawater desalination.
  • aerogel is a super-insulator with a thermal conductivity of less than 0.300 W/m ⁇ K, which is lower than that of conventional organic insulation materials such as Styrofoam, and that it can solve the fatal weakness of organic insulation materials, such as vulnerability to fire and the generation of harmful gases in case of fire.

여기서 상기 "T1 이완 시간(relaxation time)"은 "종축 이완 시간(longitudinal relaxation time)" 또는 "스핀 격자 이완 시간(spin-lattice relaxation time)"이라고도 불리운다.
