Abstract
Description
(1)スチレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体(SBS)(A)と熱ラジカル発生剤(B)とを含む熱硬化性組成物を、
(I)120℃~180℃の温度範囲で、ブタジエンブロック中の1,2結合構造に由来する二重結合が30%以上反応するまで加熱し、
(II)その後、181℃~300℃の温度範囲で、ブタジエンブロック中の1,2結合構造に由来する二重結合が50%以上反応するまで加熱する、
ことを含む硬化物の製造方法。
(2)スチレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体(SBS)(A)におけるブタジエンブロック中の1,2結合構造と1,4結合構造のモル比が80:20~100:0である、(1)に記載の硬化物の製造方法。
(3)熱硬化性組成物が、スチレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体(SBS)(A)100重量部に対し、熱ラジカル発生剤(B)を0.1~10重量部含む、(1)または(2)に記載の硬化物の製造方法。
(4)スチレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体(SBS)(A)中のスチレンブロックとブタジエンブロックの重量比が、10:90~90:10である、(1)~(3)いずれか1項に記載の硬化物の製造方法。
(5)スチレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体(SBS)(A)の数平均分子量(Mn)が、2,000~100,000である、(1)~(4)いずれか1項に記載の硬化物の製造方法。
(6)スチレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体(SBS)(A)の分子量分布(Mw/Mn)が、1.00~3.00である、(1)~(5)いずれか1項に記載の硬化物の製造方法。
(7)ブタジエンブロック中の1,2結合構造と1,4結合構造のモル比が80:20~100:0であるスチレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体(SBS)(A)と、熱ラジカル発生剤(B)とを含む熱硬化性組成物。
本発明の熱硬化性組成物は、スチレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体(SBS)(A成分)と、熱ラジカル発生剤(B成分)を含有するものである。各成分の含有量は特に限定されないが、スチレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体100重量部に対し、熱ラジカル発生剤の含有量を0.1~10重量部、0.5~10重量部、0.5~5重量部、1~5重量部などから選択することができる。
本発明で使用される成分(A)は、スチレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体(SBS)である。スチレンブロックは、スチレンを重合したブロックであり、ブタジエンブロックは1,3-ブタジエンを重合したブロックである。ブタジエンブロックは、式(1)で表される1,2結合構造と、式(2)で表される1,4結合構造からなる。
熱ラジカル発生剤としては、特に限定されない。熱ラジカル発生剤は市販品を用いることができる。熱ラジカル開始剤として、具体的には、ジイソプロピルベンゼンハイドロパーオキサイド(パークミルP)、クメンハイドロパーオキサイド(パークミルH)、t-ブチルハイドロパーオキサイド(パーブチルH)等のハイドロパーオキサイド類や、α,α-ビス(t-ブチルペルオキシ-m-イソプロピル)ベンゼン(パーブチルP)、ジクミルパーオキサイド(パークミルD)、2,5-ジメチル-2,5-ビス(t-ブチルパーオキシ)ヘキサン(パーヘキサ25B)、t-ブチルクミルパーオキサイド(パーブチルC)、ジ-t-ブチルパーオキサイド(パーブチルD)、2,5-ジメチル-2,5-ビス(t-ビチルパーオキシ)ヘキシン-3(パーヘキシン25B)、t-ブチルパーオキシ-2-エチルヘキサノエート(パーブチルO)等のジアルキルパーオキサイド類や、ケトンパーオキサイド類や、n-ブチル4,4-ジ-(t-ブチルパーオキシ)バレレート(パーヘキサV)等のパーオキシケタール類や、ジアシルパーオキサイド類や、パーオキシジカーボネート類や、パーオキシエステル類等の有機過酸化物や、2,2’-アゾビスイソブチルニトリル、1,1’-(シクロヘキサンー1-1カルボニトリル)、2,2’-アゾビス(2-シクロプロピルプロピオニトリル)、2,2’-アゾビス(2,4-ジメチルバレロニトリル)等のアゾ化合物等などを挙げることができる。これらは、1種単独でまたは2種以上を組み合わせて使用することができる。
本発明の熱硬化性組成物は、スチレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体(A)と、熱ラジカル発生剤(B)に加えて、本発明の目的を損なわない範囲でその他の成分を含有してもよい。前記のその他の成分としては、例えば、フィラー、有機樹脂(シリコーン樹脂、エポキシ樹脂、フッ素樹脂など)、溶剤、安定化剤(酸化防止剤、紫外線吸収剤、耐光安定剤など)、難燃剤(リン系難燃剤、ハロゲン系難燃剤、無機系難燃剤など)、難燃助剤、補強材、滑剤、ワックス、可塑剤、離型剤、耐衝撃性改良剤、色相改良剤、流動性改良剤、着色剤(染料、顔料など)、分散剤、消泡剤、脱泡剤、抗菌剤、防腐剤、粘度調整剤、増粘剤等を挙げることができる。これらは、1種を単独で、又は2種以上を組み合わせて使用することができる。
本発明の硬化物の製造方法は、前記熱硬化性組成物を工程(I)120℃~180℃の温度範囲で、ブタジエンブロック中の1,2結合構造に由来する二重結合が30%以上反応するまで加熱し、その後、工程(II)181℃~300℃の温度範囲で、ブタジエンブロック中の1,2結合構造に由来する二重結合が50%以上反応するまで加熱する、ことを含む。
工程(I)及び(II)の温度範囲の設定は、上記温度範囲内であれば適宜設定できる。たとえば、工程(I)の温度範囲の下限は、125℃、130℃、135℃、140℃、145℃、150℃等とすることもできる。工程(I)の温度範囲の上限は、175℃、170℃等とすることもできる。
また、工程(II)の温度範囲の下限は,185℃、190℃、195℃、200℃等とすることもできる。工程(II)の温度範囲の上限は、295℃、290℃、285℃、280℃、275℃、270℃、265℃、260℃、255℃、250℃、245℃、240℃等とすることもできる。
工程(I)において50%以上反応させてもよく、その場合は、工程(II)においてはそれ以上に反応させる。ただし、工程(I)においては、通常30%~70%の程度で工程(I)を終え、工程(II)に移行する。その際、加熱は、通常、引き続き昇温すればよい。
加熱は、工程(I)、工程(II)共に、上記温度の範囲内において一定温度で反応させてもよいし、昇温しながら行ってもよい。
工程(I)と工程(II)の条件で硬化することにより、効率的に硬化反応を進行させることができる。
工程(I)及び工程(II)において、「ブタジエンブロック中の1,2結合構造に由来する二重結合が反応した割合(%)」(以下、「反応率」と記載することがある)については、以下の方法で算出することができる。
反応率は赤外分光光度計を用いて算出することができる。室温下、ブタジエンブロック中の1,2結合構造に由来する二重結合の赤外吸収スペクトルは、850cm-1から950cm-1付近に検出される(スペクトルA)。硬化反応前の熱硬化性組成物について、室温下、赤外吸収スペクトルを測定し、スペクトルAの積分値A0を算出する。次に硬化反応後のサンプルについて、同条件で赤外吸収スペクトルを測定し、スペクトルAの積分値Atを算出する。反応率(%)は、下記の式で算出した値である。
反応率(%)=((スペクトルA0- スペクトルAt)/スペクトルA0)×100
5000mLフラスコにシクロヘキサン1893.91g、テトラヒドロフラン306.92gを加えた。30℃に昇温した後、n-ブチルリチウム25.32g(15.1重量%濃度ヘキサン溶液)を加えた。10分間撹拌後、スチレン150.32gを滴下し、10分間撹拌した。ガスクロマトグラフィー(以下GCと略す)によりモノマー消失を確認した。
次いで、1,3-ブタジエン301.30g、ヘキサン197.50gの混合液を滴下し、15分間撹拌した。GCによりモノマー消失を確認した後、スチレン150.30gを滴下した。30分間撹拌した後メタノール10.40gを加えた。
得られた共重合体をゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィー(移動相テトラヒドロフラン、ポリスチレンスタンダード)により分析したところ、数平均分子量(Mn)は19600、分子量分布(Mw/Mn)は1.16、組成比がPS/PB/PS=25/50/25重量%の共重合体であることを確認した。
反応液を二回水洗後、溶媒を留去した。真空乾燥することでスチレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体A(白色粉末)を得た。1H-NMRにて算出したブタジエンブロック中の1,2結合構造と1,4結合構造のモル比は、94:6であった。
500mLフラスコにシクロヘキサン155.90g、テトラヒドロフラン20.10gを加えた。30℃に昇温した後、n-ブチルリチウム1.95g(15.1重量%濃度ヘキサン溶液)を加えた。10分間撹拌した後、スチレン7.64gを滴下し、30分間撹拌した。ガスクロマトグラフィー(以下GCと略す)によりモノマー消失を確認した。
次いで、1,3-ブタジエン35.07g、ヘキサン35.07gの混合液を滴下し、15分間撹拌した。GCによりモノマー消失を確認した後、スチレン7.78gを滴下した。30分間撹拌した後メタノール0.40gを加えて反応を停止した。
得られた共重合体をゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィー(移動相テトラヒドロフラン、ポリスチレンスタンダード)により分析したところ、数平均分子量(Mn)は17400、分子量分布(Mw/Mn)は1.07、組成比がPS/PB/PS=15/70/15重量%の共重合体であることを確認した。
反応液を二回水洗後、溶媒を留去した。メタノールに再沈殿、ろ別し真空乾燥することでスチレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体B(無色透明な粘性液体)を得た。1H-NMRにて算出したブタジエンブロック中の1,2結合構造と1,4結合構造のモル比は、89:11であった。
実施例A
製造例1で得られたスチレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体A100重量部と、ジクミルパーオキサイド(日油社製、パークミルD)2重量部を混練機に添加し、90℃にて10分間混合することにより、熱硬化性組成物Aを製造した。
製造例2で得られたスチレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体B100重量部と、ジクミルパーオキサイド(日油社製、パークミルD)2重量部を自転公転ミキサーに添加し、60℃にて20分間混合することにより、熱硬化性組成物Bを製造した。
比較例1~5
実施例Bで得られた熱硬化性組成物Bを一定の温度で2時間加熱することにより、硬化物を得た。得られた硬化物について、反応率(%)とガラス転移温度(℃)を測定した。反応率(%)は前記した方法で算出した。ガラス転移温度(℃)は、JIS K 6240を参考に測定した。結果を表1に示した。
実施例Bで得られた熱硬化性組成物Bを、表2に示す工程Iおよび工程IIの条件で加熱することにより、硬化物を得た。工程I後に得られた硬化物および工程II後に得られた硬化物についてそれぞれの反応率(%)を算出した。また、工程II後に得られた硬化物のガラス転移温度(℃)を測定した。反応率(%)は前記に記載した方法で算出した。ガラス転移温度は、JIS K 6240を参考に測定した。結果を表2に示した。

- スチレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体(SBS)(A)と、熱ラジカル発生剤(B)と、を含む熱硬化性組成物を、
(I)120℃~180℃の温度範囲で、ブタジエンブロック中の1,2結合構造に由来する二重結合が30%以上反応するまで加熱し、
(II)その後、181℃~300℃の温度範囲で、ブタジエンブロック中の1,2結合構造に由来する二重結合が50%以上反応するまで加熱する、
ことを含む硬化物の製造方法。 - スチレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体(SBS)(A)におけるブタジエンブロック中の1,2結合構造と1,4結合構造のモル比が80:20~100:0である、請求項1に記載の硬化物の製造方法。
- 熱硬化性組成物が、スチレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体(SBS)(A)100重量部に対し、熱ラジカル発生剤(B)を0.1~10重量部含む、請求項1または2に記載の硬化物の製造方法。
- スチレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体(SBS)(A)中のスチレンブロックとブタジエンブロックの重量比が、10:90~90:10である、請求項1~3いずれか1項に記載の硬化物の製造方法。
- スチレン-ブタジエン-スチレンブロック共重合体(SBS)(A)の数平均分子量(Mn)が、2,000~100,000である、請求項1~4いずれか1項に記載の硬化物の製造方法。
