- the present invention relates to a vehicle air conditioner that is mounted on a vehicle and that adjusts the temperature of the vehicle interior by blowing air that has been temperature-adjusted by a heat exchanger into the vehicle interior.
- a vehicle air conditioner mounted on a vehicle has taken inside air / outside air into an air conditioning case having an air passage through an inside / outside air switching device by a blower, air cooled by an evaporator as a cooling means, and heating means After the air heated by the heater core is mixed in a desired mixing ratio by operating a damper in the air conditioning case, the air is blown from the plurality of air outlets provided in the air conditioning case into the vehicle interior through the air duct. As a result, the temperature and humidity in the passenger compartment are adjusted.
- a filter is generally mounted for the purpose of removing dust and the like contained in the outside air, but the vehicle on which the vehicle air conditioner is mounted. There are cases where the filter is not used and the vehicle is used without being attached to the destination or low-priced vehicle.

- This air resistance member is formed so as to be surrounded by a frame body in a substantially rectangular shape around a resistance plate having a plurality of ventilation openings, and is placed in a part where the filter is attached, thereby being taken into the inside / outside air switching device. Since the air that has passed through the ventilation opening increases the air resistance, its flow rate decreases and flows downstream. As a result, when the filter is not attached, an air resistance member is attached instead, so that the air flow rate substantially equal to that when the filter is attached is maintained.

- an unillustrated occupant operates an operation lever disposed in a passenger compartment of a vehicle on which the vehicle air conditioner 10 is mounted, so that a damper mechanism (not illustrated) operates in a cooling operation or a heating operation according to the operation of the operation lever.
- the air blower 16 is rotationally driven based on a control signal from a controller (not shown), so that the air flows through either the inside air introduction port 44 or the outside air introduction port 42 of the inside / outside air switching unit 14. 2 Sucked into the casing 40.
- the air passes through the filter 52 to remove dust and the like, and rectifies and flows to the downstream side so as to be relatively straight (in the direction of arrow F).
- the air rectified through the filter 52 strikes the curved surface of the second casing 40 and changes its direction to the first casing 32 side (in the direction of arrow A1 in FIGS. 1 and 2) at a substantially right angle, and the suction port It is taken into the first casing 32 through 38.
- This air passes through the heat exchanger and is subjected to heat exchange, and then is blown from the vent air blowing port 34 and the like into the vehicle compartment at a desired temperature.
- the operation when the filter 52 is removed from the inside / outside air switching unit 14 in the vehicle air conditioner 10 described above (the filter is not attached) will be described with reference to FIG. 3B.
- the first and second bulging portions 48 and 50 where the filter 52 is not mounted are spaces in which the inside communicates with the flow path.
- first and second bulging portions 48 and 50 function as blowing resistance increasing means for generating a turbulent flow by causing a part of the air to flow into the inside and increasing the blowing resistance.
- the amount of air blown when the filter 52 is lowered as a blowing resistance when the filter 52 is attached by intentionally reducing the amount of air blown by the generation of turbulence. are set to be substantially the same.
- the first and second bulging portions 48 and 50 are not limited to the case where the first and second bulging portions 48 and 50 are formed in a rectangular cross section as described above.
- the shape is not particularly limited.
- FIGS. 4A and 4B show the relationship between the voltage when driving the blower 16 and the amount of air blown from the inside / outside air switching unit 14 to the air conditioning unit (first casing 32).
- the characteristic curve L1 when the filter 52 is not attached is indicated by a broken line
- the characteristic curve L2 when the filter 52 is attached is indicated by a solid line.
- the air flow rate when the filter 52 is not attached (broken line) ) Increases with respect to the air flow rate (solid line) when the filter 52 is mounted.
- the reason for this is that, when the filter 52 is not attached and no air blowing resistance occurs when the air flows, the air blowing resistance occurs when the air passes through the filter 52 when the filter 52 is attached. This is because the air blowing amount slightly decreases due to the air blowing resistance, and a difference occurs between the air blowing amounts.
- the first and second bulging portions 48 and 50 that are substantially orthogonal to the flow of air taken in from the outside air introduction port 42 or the inside air introduction port 44 are provided inside the second casing 40 that constitutes the inside / outside air switching unit 14.
- the air flow rate when the filter 52 that generates turbulent flow by the first and second bulging portions 48 and 50 is not mounted and the air flow rate when the filter 52 is mounted are substantially equal. It is understood that can be done.
- the vehicle is arranged such that the opening direction of the outside air introduction port 42 and the inside air introduction port 44 of the inside / outside air switching unit 14 and the opening direction of the suction port 38 of the second divided case 20 are substantially orthogonal to each other.
- the air flow in the second casing 40 of the inside / outside air switching unit 14 becomes complicated. Therefore, compared to the case where the opening direction of the outside air introduction port 42 and the inside air introduction port 44 is substantially the same as the opening direction of the suction port 38, the second casing 40 is more likely to generate turbulence. There is a tendency to depend on the shape of the inner wall surfaces 46a and 46b in the casing 40.
- a pair of first and second bulging portions 48 and 50 bulging upward and downward with respect to the inner wall surfaces 46 a and 46 b of the second casing 40 are provided, and the first In addition, the filter 52 can be held with respect to the second bulging portions 48 and 50.
- the air taken into the second casing 40 from the outside air introduction port 42 or the inside air introduction port 44 of the inside / outside air switching unit 14 is supplied.
- a turbulent flow is suitably generated by flowing into the first and second bulging portions 48 and 50, which are partially spaces, and the blowing amount is reduced by increasing the blowing resistance.
- the blowing resistance when the filter 52 is mounted in the second casing 40, and the The blowing resistance when the filter 52 is not attached can be made substantially equal.
- first and second bulging portions 48 and 50 also serve as holding means capable of holding the upper end and lower end of the filter 52, the holding means for the filter 52 and the blowing resistance increasing means are provided separately.
- the configuration can be simplified, and the filter 52 is attached to the second casing 40 so that the first and second bulging portions 48 and 50 are preferably closed to make a turbulent flow. Can be stopped.
- the action / non-action of the blowing resistance increasing means can be easily switched depending on whether or not the filter 52 is attached.
- the depths (bulging amounts) of the first and second bulging portions 48 and 50 may be about 5 mm, respectively, as long as they function only as holding grooves for holding the filter, for example.
- each is set to be at least about 20 mm.
- the shapes and positions of the first and second bulging portions 48 and 50 are determined based on the difference between the air flow rate when the filter 52 is not mounted and the air flow rate when the filter 52 is mounted (see ⁇ G in FIG. 4A). By appropriately setting, it is possible to suppress a change in the air flow rate depending on whether or not the filter 52 is attached.
- vehicle air conditioner according to the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various configurations can be adopted without departing from the gist of the present invention.
