Definitions
- This invention relates to a hole plug that is inserted into an attachment hole formed in a part of an attachment member, for example, a vehicle body panel of a vehicle, and used to close the attachment hole.
- the conventional hole plug has an integral structure made of synthetic resin or the like as shown in FIG. 20, and the insertion portion 1 is formed with the front side flange portion 2 and the back side flange portion 3 facing each other, and the mounting hole is formed on the front side flange portion. 2 and the back side collar 3 are sealed from both sides (Patent Document 1).
- the conventional hole plug having the above-described structure is structured such that the back side sealing member is deformed and inserted when the insertion portion 1 is inserted into the insertion hole due to the structure in which the both sides of the mounting member are pressed by a sealing member such as a collar. Simultaneously with the load when being pushed into the hole, the resistance when the tip of the surface side seal member (buttock) abuts against the opening peripheral surface of the mounting member is deformed double with the load, resulting in insertion force.
- a sealing member such as a collar
- the present invention has been made in order to eliminate the above-described inconveniences, and as the tip of the flange comes into contact with the peripheral surface of the opening of the mounting member, the hole plug is positioned above a predetermined position on the outer peripheral wall portion.
- An object of the present invention is to provide a hole plug that can reduce insertion resistance by providing a flange-linked bending portion as a base point for bending the outer peripheral wall portion away from the mounting hole (reducing diameter).
- the present invention includes a flange that covers the peripheral surface of the opening of the mounting hole formed in the mounting member with a predetermined inclination angle, and extends downward from the inner peripheral edge of the flange.
- a hole plug having a cylindrical outer peripheral wall portion provided, wherein the upper outer peripheral wall from a predetermined position of the outer peripheral wall portion as the front end of the flange portion comes into contact with the opening peripheral surface of the mounting member
- a ball plug comprising a collar-linked bent portion formed as a base point for bending the portion in a direction away from the hole edge.
- the hole plug according to the present invention is preferably configured as in the following aspects (1) to (3).
- the engaging portion that engages with the peripheral edge of the opening on the back surface of the mounting member is formed so as to protrude from a position below the collar interlocking bent portion. According to this preferred aspect, the insertion load can be reduced, the thickness of the mounting member can be changed, and the water tightness can be maintained.
- An elastically deformable back side seal portion covering the periphery of the back surface opening of the mounting member is formed so as to protrude from a lower position than the collar interlocking bent portion. According to this preferable aspect, the insertion load can be reduced and the change in the thickness of the mounting member can be accommodated.
- the lower outer peripheral wall portion from the flange interlocking bent portion has a smaller cross-sectional area in the direction perpendicular to the insertion direction than the upper outer peripheral wall portion, and the mounting hole
- the back-side seal portion is housed in the lower outer peripheral wall portion when inserted into the base. According to this preferable aspect, the insertion load can be reduced and the change in the thickness of the mounting member can be accommodated.
- the flange portion covering the opening peripheral surface of the attachment hole formed in the attachment member with a predetermined inclination angle, and extending downward from the inner peripheral edge portion of the flange portion.
- a hole plug having a cylindrical outer peripheral wall portion, and the upper outer peripheral wall portion from a predetermined position of the outer peripheral wall portion as the tip end of the flange portion comes into contact with the opening peripheral surface of the mounting member. Since it has a collar-linked bend formed as a base point for bending away from the hole edge, it can reduce the insertion load, respond to changes in the thickness of the mounting member, and maintain water tightness it can.

- the present invention includes a flange that covers the peripheral surface of the opening of the mounting hole formed in the mounting member with a predetermined inclination angle, and a cylindrical outer periphery that extends downward from the inner peripheral edge of the flange.
- a hole plug provided with a wall portion, wherein the upper outer peripheral wall portion is moved away from a hole edge from a predetermined position of the outer peripheral wall portion as the front end of the flange portion contacts the opening peripheral surface of the mounting member. Since it has a flange interlocking bent part formed as a base point for bending to the outside, the outer peripheral wall part retreats as the tip of the flange comes into contact with the opening peripheral surface of the mounting member during insertion, and the insertion load Can be reduced and the sealing performance can be maintained.
